25.01.2022 Track 11 - LOVE FINDS A WAY The final track from Burden Of The Fool leaves us with hope. There are always trials and tribulations sent to test our mettle along our weary road, there are also times of happiness and love in between and these are the moments that help guide the way. The last few years have been testing and the years ahead will test many of us further, but as the Beatles said, 'All You Need Is Love', so if we find ourselves overwhelmed and in need of a guide, rem...ember Love Will Find A Way. 20.01.2022 Track 6 - NIMBIN Well, the first time I went to this colourful village was the late 1980's. I've been back to Nimbin a few times over the last few years and took my kids there last year to experience the colour, smells and joy of this magical little piece of NSW. This song was born from a visit there and written with lovely Jen Mize who made the experience such an enjoyable breeze. Nimbin for me these days is more of a state of mind than a place, that said, there's nothing qu...ite as cool as been stoned, unknown and stuck inside of Nimbin :) Produced & Engineered by Glen Hannah & Matt Fell Written by John Krsulja & Jen Mize Performed by John K Musicians: Matt Fell, Pete Cornelius, Josh Schuberth & John Krsulja. Recorded at Love Hz Studio #burdenofthefool #storiesfromthealbum #signspaintedinlockdown

17.01.2022 Track 8 - THE WORLD KEEPS TURNING ON ITS OWN This is the second time I've had the chance to co-write with Lachlan Bryan, who has a great gift for song writing. The idea behind the song is the circle of life, how as time goes on we can find ourselves walking the path that has been walked before by our ancestors. As I sat on the sand watching the sun set over the ocean at Mindil Beach, Darwin along with my two children, my wife and my inlaws, I knew I had sat here 25 years earl...ier as a single man and wondered if one day my children would return with their own children. We are here for but a brief moment in the history of time and that we are here now together always amazes me and how no matter where our paths may lay or the road lead us, the World Keeps Turning On Its Own. Produced & Engineered by Glen Hannah & Matt Fell Written by Lachlan Bryan & John Krsulja Performed by John K Musicians: Pete Cornelius & John Krsulja. Recorded at Love Hz Studio #burdenofthefool #paintedinlockdown #storiesbehindthesongs

16.01.2022 Looking forward to this :)

15.01.2022 Track 9 - LOVE'S LOST WOMAN Not all love stories have a happy ending and this song comes from tragedy. Losing a loved one through depression and suicide leaves a scar so deep, it may never heal. All I'd like to say here is, if you or loved one is struggling, there is no shame in seeking help. Love's Lost Woman is in memory of not only those who have taken their lives but those who have been left behind.... 15.01.2022 The Music Video features the collaboration between the song writer and the story, delivered by members of Australia’s Deaf Community. By sharing the beauty of Auslan (Australian Sign Language) the performers are giving their interpretation of the story within the song rather than directly translating the lyrics. A special thanks to Chevoy Sweeney from Sweeney Interpreting, the performers Todd Wright, Sue Wright, Hayley Martin, Christine Field & Zayne Amata, Luke Oldknow from ...Electric Light Films for this amazing work, Lachlan Bryan for the co-write, Producer Matt Fell, Pete Cornelius on Harmonica, Bec Gracie from The Country Journo and all of you for taking the time to watch. "We are here but a brief moment in time and no matter where our paths lay or the road takes us, The World Keeps Turning On Its Own". 14.01.2022 Track 7 - BURDEN OF THE FOOL If you are into Vinyl this track is the beginning of Side B, and the start of the acoustic tracks, most of them recorded at Studio Goonga. This song is the title track of the album and has a depth you could say is heavy, and for me the message is without a doubt only you know what is right or wrong, and what is right we leave behind. There are those who are foolish, those who are easily fooled and then there are the ones that are left to grow old.... Proverbs 27:3 "A stone is heavy and sand is weighty, But a fool’s wrath is heavier than both of them". 05.01.2022 Track 5 - FISHIN' N WORKIN' Well here we are Track 5, and as you tell I'm now committed so I'll continue :) How many songs about your old man do you need? The answer is, as many as you like. This song was co-written with Brendan Nawrocki, who continues to write some crackers which are been recorded by other artists and friends and now appearing on many new albums. Writing another song after Old Man's Shed about your father, was an easy task, as both Brendan and I have Europea...n fathers who are well known for always working, that we have learned to appreciate the time spent fishing. I actually did my Plastering Trade with my old man, who has become my best mate and was very emotional when he read these lyrics and realised the song was a reflection of our relationship. As a father myself this songs message is complete, working now days is been busy and fishing is taking the time to pause in the moments we have together and enjoying each others company, always.... Produced & Engineered by Glen Hannah & Matt Fell Written by John Krsulja & Brendan Nawrocki Performed by John K and BV's Matt Fell Musicians: Matt Fell, Pete Cornelius, Josh Schuberth, John Krsulja & special guest Michael Webb on Piano Accordion. Recorded at Love Hz Studio #burdenofthefool #storiesfromthealbum #signspaintedinlockdown

03.01.2022 Track 10 - WORONORA RIVER Growing up in the Sutherland Shire in the 70's & 80's, in a little developing suburb called Bonnet Bay by the magical Wororora River, gave us as kids the freedom to safely roam the streets and a feeling of been able to do as we pleased. There was cricket on the road, footy on the front lawn, fishing on the river and off course as time went by, there were Holdens a plenty. This nostalgic song takes you from childhood right up to the present day, and t...he story is one lived by so many in so many different locations around Australia. When I wrote the last verse, I had yet to live it and was determined to do so before I recorded the song. So I took my wife and kids down to the places we used to hang out, the sand banks, the rock caves that now had houses built above them, to the streets where cricket was played and to the oval where we played until the street lights came on, then sat and watched the sun go down. There are a lot of good memories there left by the river gums trees.
