16.01.2022 Songwriting stores #2 "safe" early lyric idea from the big song writing book. It was called Safe after a very very ordinary and not that awesome day for one of my kids. This was my response. "if the day should fail to meet expectation/ you're safe in my arms, safe in my arms"

11.01.2022 Songwriting Stories #3- HOME Original Lyrics. Fun teaser fact ..this song was nearly not called Home! My first title for it, in the first of three sweeps at the lyric- it was called "dreamer" (not sure why!) A second version of it had the title "home" with some other title idea attached to it after I re-wrote the chorus (yep it was very different!) ... The words of the verse came pretty quick. I wrote this song as part of the iheartsongwritingclub in an hour. Pretty stoked with how it came out. I have heard that one teacher friend of mine uses this song to help her Year 3/4 class pack up at the end of the day! Helping teachers!! My job here is done Today, Home pushed over the 1000 streams mark on Spotify. Not that numbers should be a deal, but it just encourages me that the song is being heard. So grateful for your help

08.01.2022 Songwriting Stories #2 "Goodnight" Song from my new album "Unveiling" I wrote this song in the iheartsongwriting club on the theme of nostalgia. This song is about my kids and recalling their early childhood. ... "Goodnight dear child of mine/ sleep well and dream your adventures tonight/wake up and run to my room-come tell me all of your stories/ your beautiful stories" "Good night my angel- sweet child I'll sing you to sleep" I wrote this song as a celebration of their childhood and all the beautiful things to come. 06.01.2022 Songwriter Stories: A song writers "trick" to share their music First I opened up Spotify and found my music. Then I made a screen capture video from my phone..and just simply flicked through. I added this one to Insta and FB stories. So instant Video! ... It had a pretty good response..it's just about making my music accessible- which is one of my big goals. What do you think? Any advice for me? Anything you would like to see me try? Thanks!

04.01.2022 Songwriting stories #4 "The Great Unveiling" ..an original tracklist I like to write little lists as I go in the writing stage of an album. It helps me see what the themes are. This list was made shortly before I wrote my song "Home" and includes a few other titles that didn't make the cut. Maybe next time?... Will play some of these gems at my next Facebook live on Wednesday night. Is there a title that you makes you curious? I'll play it live for you tomorrow night.

02.01.2022 Introducing my new virtual live set for live from the studio sessions. I’ve been hoping to update and build a new background set for my Facebook / Insta lives. My old background has been a little, tired foldout thing that I just felt like needed to be retired. Took a quick drive down to Warner’s bay and found three unusually rectangle shaped pallets. They really pop and allow me to have more space- plus the room suddenly sounds even warmer. Even get to feature my Dad’s old reel to reel.
