20.01.2022 Two weeks ago in Junior Kindy we made another sensory activity - playdough with colored rice. The kids showed great imagination and made lots of cupcakes, donuts, pizzas for us to play with. We have been furthering our gross motor development through obstacle courses. Working on strengthen our balance, body coordination and spatial awareness. Miss Nikki & Miss Rheana

19.01.2022 Today we celebrated our Teddy Bears Picnic across all rooms in the centre. The purpose behind this is for your child to use a personalised item from home that makes them feel safe and secure to engage in sharing, communicating and fostering positive relationships. All of this contributes to building a positive self-identity :) Please see the Senior Kindy photos below

18.01.2022 This week in Senior Kindy we have been doing lots of activities related to our focus letter - the letter 'L', including making lions, lanterns and the letter out of lego. We have also been promoting our sustainability focus by reusing old egg cartons and cotton tips to plant seedlings. This week the EYLF Physical Milestones have been promoted and we've been having lots of practice with balls games, running, jumping and other coordination activities. ... As part of 'Our Family, Our Community' unit we have been thinking a lot about what we want to be when we grow up. Over the next few weeks we are hoping some parents/ families may volunteer to come have a quick chat about what they do for work (5-10 minutes) as we are really excited about learning how everyone is important to our communities. Miss Tamara and Miss Leisa will have a sign in sheet available for this on Monday :) Have a great weekend! Miss Tamara, Miss Leisa and Miss Joyce

17.01.2022 This week in junior Kindy we have enjoyed taking part in crazy hair day and jeans 4 genes day, creating our own mini Olympics inside and outside the classroom. The children have demonstrated great body coordination and strengthening their balance throughout some activities. Harry brought in a large Rhino Beatle for us to look at, it was pretty cool and if we listened carefully we could hear it hiss. Thanks for a great week Junior Kindy friends Miss Nikki and Miss Rheana

16.01.2022 Recently in Kindy we have been focussing on the topic 'Our Family, Our Communities'. We asked the children to identify their mummy and daddy's names, as well as what they do when they go to work. We hope you enjoy their responses :) Miss Leisa, Miss Tamara & Miss Joyce

03.01.2022 This week the children in Babies and Toddlers participated in dot painting in recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day (4th August). This is a time to celebrate the strengths and cultures of our children. It is an opportunity for us to show our support, as well as learn about the crucial impact that culture, family, and community play in the life of every Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander child.

01.01.2022 Afternoon All, Apologies for the delay but here are some of the photos from the Pyjama Day from Babies and Toddlers We celebrated by wearing our groovy pjs and having a joint little party with the babies. We each created our own little dream catcher and made some fresh yummy pancakes for a little picnic outside.
