24.01.2022 It's time to bring back these bad boys! I know it's been hard to see them gathering dust but we're back on! From tomorrow (June 1st!) we will be accepting BYO cups of any description...But please please do make sure they're clean for us! We'll be tentatively getting a few other bits and pieces back to "normal" but please do remember to continue to practice social distancing and basic hygiene - the safety of our staff and customers will always be our priority! ... As always, thank you (yes, you!) for continuing to visit and support us for these past few months!

23.01.2022 big post alert!! What a day! It's a triple whammy! 1. It's #internationalwomensday so here's to all the incredibly groovy girls of Johnny Baker ... 2. It's Eliza's last day and she's the grooviest of them all, obviously 3. It's #labourdayweekend and yes WE WILL BE OPEN TOMORROW!! As it's a public holiday, there will be a surcharge but we will be here from 6:30am - 4:00pm for those long weekend treats Come on in folks!

23.01.2022 COVID-19 LOCKDOWN UPDATE It's business as usual here at Johnny bakers. We will be open all week from 6:30am until 4pm.... We have changed a couple of things to comply with the new regulations, and to help yourselves and our staff stay safe and healthy. We are only able to have 4 customers in the store at any given time, if you're waiting for a coffee or hot food we ask if you could please wait outside and we will bring your order out to you. We are also no longer accepting keep cups or byo containers for the foreseeable future. On a more positive note, we are now making hot cross buns, and they're selling like.. well, hot cross buns! It's recommended that you order them ahead of time, before we sell out. On behalf of myself and all the staff at Johnny baker's we hope you all stay safe and healthy in these unprecedented times.

21.01.2022 Paris Brest a crispy choux pastry filled with a brandy and almond praline cream. Created by Louis Durand Patissier to commemorate the Paris Brest Paris bicycle race. Its circular shape is representative of a wheel. Grab a coffee, chai, hot chocolate in a Huski cup. Huski cups have been made of the coffee husk waste and bound together with bio- polymer that make them durable yet don't leak toxins into the environment when they decompose. Don't forget we still accept keep cups and 50c off your beverage.

21.01.2022 From tomorrow Monday 30th March, we are reducing our hours. Now opening at 7am and closing at 3pm, still open 7 days a week though! Regretfully we also have no choice but to close over Easter - for the first time ever! We will be closed for 4 days (the public holidays) from Friday 10th April until Monday 13th April. ... 19.01.2022 The warmest wishes and saddest farewells to our dear Jaz who is now heading off to Melbourne for more culinary adventures! Jaz has been working with us since school, completed her apprenticeship as a pastry chef and has kept the place running smoothly for years! She was one of our first staff members here at Johnny Bakers and I have to say, the original and the best! 19.01.2022 Now that the Christmas chaos has passed, we'd like to give a huge congratulations to this wonderful lady! Madi completed her apprenticeship with us in December and is now a fully qualified pastry chef! Ever the quiet achiever but always an incredibly hard-working team member! Don't worry though- she ain't going anywhere and will be back in the bakery very soon after a well-deserved little break! (And while I'm here, yes we're open again from tomorrow Friday 3rd Jan. 6:30am see ya then!)
