Durack MP Melissa Price has confirmed the Federal Government has approved the request to reopen the Kimberley on Friday 5th June. Federal Health Minister Greg Hunt has signed off on the request. It means people from within WA will be able to travel to the Kimberley from midnight tonight. Its not just the Kimberley affected - the inland desert areas shown below will also be opened up, although Aboriginal communities remain off-limits.
