05.01.2022 Update 2 Missing boys, Wulguru Admin on May 17, 2015 @ 5:44am Police and State Emergency Service volunteers have searched throughout the night for two young ...boys missing at Wulguru since yesterday afternoon. The two boys were last seen around 4pm near Diamantina and Bullock Streets. A scooter and a tricycle belonging to them were located around 8.30pm on a dirt track leading into bushland near the intersection of Linden Crescent and Bellvue Court. The search overnight involved police, the dog squad, volunteers from the State Emergency Service and a rescue helicopter. The search continues this morning with SES volunteers, a rescue helicopter and police using motorcycles and an all-terrain vehicle. Inspector Glenn Doyle, Townsville District Southern Patrol Group, has asked for local residents to search their yards for any areas where the boys may have sought shelter overnight. We ask for you to check under your house and in any sheds, vehicles, boats or caravans and even the cubby house, if you have one. It was a cold and wet night and they would have tried to find somewhere warm, Inspector Doyle said. Police continue to appeal for information from the public that might help direct search efforts. We are asking for anyone who may have seen the two boys, either together or perhaps separately, any time yesterday afternoon or later to contact us. You may have the key piece of information that points us in the right direction to find them, Inspector Doyle said. The 5-year-old is described as Caucasian, around 120cms tall with blonde hair and was last seen wearing white track suit pants. The 6-year-old is described as Caucasian, around 140cms tall with brown hair, brown eyes and was last seen wearing a pale grey shirt and shorts. Anyone with information which could assist with this matter should contact Crime Stoppers anonymously via 1800 333 000 or crimestoppers.com.au 24hrs a day. Crime Stoppers is a registered charity and community volunteer organisation working in partnership with the Queensland Police Service. For all non-urgent police reporting or general police inquiries contact Policelink on 131 444 or Policelink.qld.gov.au 24hrs a day.
