Yours truly @johnnythefoxrecords will be in attendance, along with Dirty Jane's and local record sellers. Over 5,000 records covering virtually all genres: records for leisure, hidden treasures and guilty pleasures; something for everyone! Chill while you wander with a tipple from @thehouseofbubbles, a groovy vintage Citroen truck/mobile bar. There will be an... ol' fashioned Easter Egg Hunt for the Kiddies and a grown-up Virtual Egg Hunt in Dirty Janes. There'll even be an opportunity to win champagne! Be on the lookout on Easter Sunday for Johnny The Fox's alter ego, The Balloon Cowboy, who will be making stupendously awesome animal balloons for kids of all ages; balloon bunny anyone?! Plus don't forget to grab a coffee and a bite from Billy T's! Awesome coffee and a Portugese Tart so good it would be on my list of three things to take to a deserted island...the other two naturally being my record collection and 1980's Michelle Pfeiffer. 07.01.2022 The strange, true and occasionally amusing life story of Johnny The Fox in 100 records (names and places may be changed to protect the innocent, the guilty or both). Record/Chapter 15: Europe - The Final Countdown (1986) In 2009 I developed an unhealthy addiction to Texas Hold'em Poker. Though I would eventually rank in the top 200 hundred tournament players in the country, I spent about six years blowing shitloads of cash while learning the ropes.... Not content to play at Canberra's excuse for a casino, I travelled interstate and eventually overseas to feed my addiction. Poker definitely didn't do my dating life any favours, most players being a variant of hairy middle aged middle eastern guys in Ed Harry t-shirts with questionable jewellery, or androgenous Asian guys so slight they would break in half if they sneezed. Although banned now in Oz, I also dropped buckets of cash into online poker, a global scam only surpassed by Covid 19. I did meet some interesting characters though. I played with tennis pros, Tour de France riders, and the little disabled guy who played the villain in Mad Max Fury Road. Though perhaps the coolest was in Los Angeles where I sat at a cash game table opposite the actor James Woods. Looking more like a grumpy alcoholic Santa Claus, you could tell he still hadn't lived down starring in 'The Hard Way' with Michael J Fox. I also played against several poker professionals, soon realising that they're mostly no more talented than anyone else, they're just bankrolled by poker companies so able to develop a reputation of being scary and intimidating, while most of their good fortune stems from other players playing mindbogglingly badly against them. The pinnacle of my poker 'career' was getting to the final table of an Oz Millions tournament. Self conscious and sitting under unflattering spotlights, I didn't know what to be more embarrassed by, 'The Final Countdown' playing over the PA, or Shane Warne announcing 'shuffle up and deal!' I still play now and then. If you sit down opposite a smug 50yo silver fox with a perpetual four day growth who looks like he spends too much time at the beach... it's probably me. To be continued.

Look for the records outside near the forge cottage with the red door, not too far from the famous Citroen truck/mobile bar that is @thehouseofbubbles!
