25.01.2022 The College grounds has changed in numerous ways over the past 40 years. One thing that has remained the same throughout history, is the College's ethos and Catholic values. This footage was taken in 1981 on Founders' Day and also this year. Our 40 Year celebration is a great opportunity for past students and staff to tour the College and see how much the grounds have changed. 21.01.2022 Class of 2000, reflect back on your unique JPC history... To celebrate 20 years since graduating from John Paul College, we encourage the Class of 2000 to reflect and reminisce on their time at the College, as if it was the start of the new millennium.



21.01.2022 Alumni Patrick Guest (Class of 1988) is featured in the Age Newspaper today, for releasing a new children's book, Windows. Patrick is inspiring resilience and creating a beacon of hope for children in the community during COVID-19. Windows, focuses on children and their grandparents doing it tough during lockdown. 21.01.2022 Thank you to all those who attended our 40 Year Celebration on Saturday. It was great to see Alumni and staff reunite, reminisce about College memories and tour the grounds.

21.01.2022 JPC was proud to see alumni Hayden Gavine (Class of 2011) umpire last nights clash between Collingwood and Richmond. Hayden has been a AFL field umpire since 2017. Previously Hayden was the College's AFL Trainee/PE Assistant. Well done Hayden, it's great to see you back on the field!

20.01.2022 This time last year, we celebrated 40 years of John Paul College history. Our 40 year event welcomed past students and staff back to the College to reminisce on memories and tour the grounds. Members of the John Paul College, Stella Maris and Marianist College communities gathered to look through decades of year books, photographs and videos, reflect on monumental events in the College’s history, explore new facilities and buildings and catch up with old friends. 18.01.2022 To encourage physical activity and social connectivity, JPC is currently running a Virtual Cross Country program for students and staff. The College community can score some points for their House by either walking or running 3km or 4km and submitting a photo in their House colours. The below video is a throwback to the JPC Aths carnival in 1980! Athletics Carnivals and Cross Country events sure do look different these days ... barefoot running seemed to be a speed tactic back in the 80s Were you in House Chaminade, D'Houet, Olsen or Turner?



18.01.2022 The 2000's, a decade of exciting celebrations, new traditions and a farewell. JPC celebrated its 25 year anniversary, 2005 saw the College farewell Principal Dr Liam Davison after 20 years of service. We also welcomed third Principal, Jane Tibb. 18.01.2022 First ever Principal of JPC, Bro. Don Neff celebrates 70 years as a Marianist Brother this year. This milestone achievement was acknowledged during the Vigil Mass of the Nativity of Mary in Florida last month. In 1973, the Society of Mary (Marianists) established boys’ school Marianist College in Frankston, where Bro. Don Neff led 166 boys and six staff members under his direction. Marianist College later merged with girls’ school Stella Maris in 1979 to become coeducational John Paul College. Thank you, Bro. Don Neff, for years of dedication and commitment to the development of youth and their education, not just at John Paul College, but throughout the world.

16.01.2022 Today the College celebrates 52 years since Stella Maris Secondary School opened on the old Peninsula Golf Links estate.

15.01.2022 Alumni Adrian Amato, recently was voted one of the Top 7 Mechanics in Melbourne and his Mechanic Shop Amato Automotive was featured in the Herald Sun Newspaper. Well done to Adrain and his team on this achievement!

Early in the decade we became co-educational and officially changed our name to John Paul College - the O.J. Olsen Memorial. We also welcomed Dr. Liam Davision as Principal. Usually we would host two spectacular evenings at the College, showcasing everything wonderful about the visual and performing Arts at JPC. Flash back to the 80s and 90s, the Arts was a prevalent aspect of student life and was celebrated at numerous assemblies and events, and showcased around the College.

07.01.2022 Grease is the Word! 1985 saw the College perform the electrifying production of Grease! The production took over thirteen weeks to rehearse, with rehearsals taking place initially in the afternoons and then eventually to Saturday afternoons. Grease was a speculator production and an iconic 80's memory that has touched the hearts of many students. This popular production made a come back this year to JPC. ... These computers date back to the 80's, when the Colleges computer lab housed a few computers. 05.01.2022 The current decade has seen us welcome the fourth College Principal, John Vistentin. In recent years, we have also seen several infrastructural developments. Key projects have included the new Ngargee Centre for performing arts and the Student Service Centre in 2013, the new Stewart Centre and the VCAL learning hub, completed in 2018. The Stella Maris Secondary School for girls opened in 1968 under the direction of the fcJ Sisters. 1978 marked the end of an era for Stella Maris as they merged with Marianist College, forming John Paul College. 03.01.2022 Alumni Shana Davenport (2018) was featured within the Herald Sun Newspaper over the weekend for her musical talents. Shana is currently busking in Frankston but hopes one day her singing will take her from the sidewalk to radio stations. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for Shana and wish her the best of luck in her musical career.

03.01.2022 Now more than ever we are relying heavily on technology to get us through this pandemic. Whether that be catching up with friends via zoom, working from home or delivering education to students remotely. Flash back to 1998, the College introduced Notebook Computers which were linked to the College network. This was a huge advancement in technology at the time, so much so that JPC was featured on Channel 7 and 9 news for being leaders in innovation.

03.01.2022 Goodfellow Theatre Company is a new company based in Frankston, created by JPC alumni Holly Blake (2015), Sian Williams and Jesse Novella (2017). Goodfellow Theatre Company is debuting their inaugural production of William Shakespeare's iconic comedy 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' at John Paul College's Ngargee Centre this October 18th and 19th! Included in this anticipated production are other JPC Alumni, Robin Oyales (2016), Chelsea Fletcher, Wesley Griffiths (2017), Jordan ...Cosma (2018) and current students, Emma and Isabella! This later led to Marianist College and Stella Maris merging to start John Paul College's chapter in history.
