25.01.2022 RING ROAD RELAY | For the first time since 2017, students in the Secondary School participated in the Ring Road Relay as part of activity day. The event sees a boy and girl from each House and each year level (Years Six to Eleven) complete a lap around Jukambi Oval and part of the ring road. After a very tight contest, the green machine, Doulin, emerged as victors for 2020! #JPCpride #JPCqld #JPCfamily

18.01.2022 YEAR SIX ASSEMBLY | Recently, we were lucky enough to have Year Six parents on campus to share in the celebration of our Year Six students learning journey at JPC. Whilst parents were not able to attend our Celebration of Learning last week, it was great to celebrate with them in an intimate assembly in the Coleman Centre. Thank you for sharing this special moment with our JPC Family! #JPCqld #JPCpride #JPCfamily
17.01.2022 REMEMBRANCE DAY | At 11 am on 11 November 1918 the guns of the Western Front fell silent after more than four years continuous warfare. Today, at the 11th hour, with one minute’s silence, we pay tribute to, not only the 330,000 Australians who served in that First World War but all the men and women who have served and are still serving in our defence forces. Today, John Paul College staff and students commemorated Remembrance Day to remember those who died or suffered for Australia's cause in all wars and armed conflicts. Please join with us as we support the Australian War Memorial's social media initiative: #WeRememberThem #JPCpride #JPCqld #JPCfamily

11.01.2022 YEAR ONE AND TWO SWIMMING CARNIVAL | Our youngest swimmers recently splashed their way through the annual Year One and Two swimming carnival at the Stephen Paul Aquatic Centre. From noodle races to relay races, it was great to see all of the students participating and giving it their all in the pool. #JPCqld #JPCpride #JPCfamily
05.01.2022 ROAD SAFETY APP | You may have seen some familiar faces on TV on Friday night, as JPC Year Nine students were again the first in the nation to see the new modules released by the Australia Road Safety Foundation. The national program educates students about the importance of road safety not only as a driver but also as a cyclist, pedestrian and passenger. 03.01.2022 YEAR ONE ANIMAL EXPO | Year One students recently had the opportunity to celebrate their knowledge and understanding of ‘Sharing the Planet’ at their Animal Expo. Students selected an animal of interest and were able to use their research, communication and digital technology skills acquired throughout the year to inquire into different animals and their habitats. The students also created a sculpture of their chosen animal out of modelling clay during their Visual Art lessons and replicated the animal’s habitat in their display. #JPCpride #JPCqld #JPCfamily #IBPYP
02.01.2022 VALEDICTORY DAY | The day has finally arrived, a day we say farewell to the Class of 2020. They will be one of the most remembered cohorts in JPC history, as they navigated their final year of schooling through a global pandemic, all while holding their heads high and achieving great academic success. Congratulations to all our students who graduated and today took their first step into the world as JPC Alumni and high school graduates. Valedictory week has been very special for both our seniors and teachers. The Class of 2020 have been wonderful ambassadors for the College, and we wish them all the best for the future and a safe journey through the next few weeks. #JPCpride #JPCfamily #JPCqld #stayconnected
01.01.2022 YEAR SEVEN RETREAT | Our Year Seven Retreat program was conducted by Peer Power Adolescentologists, a group of adults who are committed to providing a lively combination of information and interaction, so that the students can take part in an enjoyable learning experience. The Retreat encouraged students to explore their own characteristics, strengths and challenges, healthy friendships, building healthy family dynamics, reflect on actions of kindness and contribute positively to the JPC community. Our Year Seven’s explored these ideas thoroughly at their retreat, maybe you should explore these too? #JPCqld #JPCpride #JPCfamily #christianecumenism
