14.01.2022 For those photographers following me here's a tip. For those clients following me here’s some insight A good friend Alan, the primary photographer on the day, took a shot of me and sent it to me captioned as crowd control - me getting the assembled ready for him to shoot while he stood on a ladder. If you look in detail you see a number of things I specifically do when crowd controlling. I keep my cameras on me - at a glance this helps people easily identify me as someone ...important and present for photography purposes - oh that person is important their minds are saying I should pay some attention. I keep directly facing the crowd - this further helps get attention and eye contact with as many as possible and keeps my profile large and prominent. Finally my arms are outstretched - allowing people to find me and follow my direction instructions as I talk in a raised but still calm voice. The aim in the end is to get the best photograph of all in the shortest possible time so one and all can enjoy more of the day.
