24.01.2022 Some of the latest services and repairs just completed including a very nice "Breezer Repack" by Joe Breeze. It's one of my favourite mountain bikes for many reasons including design, quality and good looks. Joe was one of the 4 or so original US mountain bike riders, designers and builders back in the 1970s.

23.01.2022 A nice repaired GT AVALANCHE 3. I wish that I'd taken before and after photos as the wheels had 56 broken spokes! They were snapping into multiple pieces with my fingers! This problem is common to a great many OEM equipped bikes of many quality brands over the past few years, where they've used upmarket brand name spokes made under licence in various countries and of obviously very inferior quality. If the owners are lucky, then the spokes will start breaking in 2's or 3's and keep breaking! If not, then many are accidents waiting to happen if many break at once, which is entirely possible! Some of the best brands of bikes in the world have wheels built with these spokes! Honestly, they're worse than the department store bikes' spokes!

22.01.2022 Sorry, this is not a shop or retail outlet like a store, although I do stock and sell items like: tyres, tubes, gear and brake cables, brake pads etc plus some spare parts and components as required. It's a private house and opening days and hours can vary without notice. Sorry for any inconvenience. If you come to the house and need your bicycle repaired or serviced, then please announce yourself or knock on the door, call out or something else to let me know that you need assistance, thank you. When I'm in my workshop and working in the back as is normal, then I'm not usually going to walk out of the front door or yard and enquire about what you're doing there if you don't come in and ask, sorry.

10.01.2022 Time for a service before winter? Keep tyres inflated regularly and the chain lubed even if not using the bike as much. Prevention is cheaper than repairs.

07.01.2022 Recently there have been a few requests to fabricate through axles that are either hard to get or are not strong enough. Most through axles are hollow in the th...innest section (where the 12mm shank meets the threaded section) which also happens to be the area under the greatest load. It isn't common to break one, but those who have are looking for something more solid. We are happy to fulfill the demand. This one is hexed at both ends and solid where it needs to be, and best of all it isn't boring old black. Hope the customer is happy

It's now rideable and useable for ferrying passengers around Seaside to Mudjimba; but a new, genuine and original Phoenix crankset, plus some new bearings and pedals are planned to be fitted in the near future.
