24.01.2022 This Citroen has had a ton on metal work done to it cutting out all the rust and remaking and replacing every bit. Every panel has been dipped by K & R Paint And Rust Removal. Skins have been off all doors the guards have been fully unpicked rebuilt and welded back together it’s been a huge job but now ready for the paint shop. #citroen #metalwork #norust #70s #dipped #paintshop #johnsoncarrestorationteamK & R Paint And Rust Removal

21.01.2022 We have this little Austin A30 in for rust repairs and paint work. For what it is surprisingly it’s not all that bad for rust. It will be going same colour updated head lights and taillights, all chrome work will be redone all new rubbers and we will re assemble it ready to drive home.

21.01.2022 Lukes been playing around making roof gutters this week. Making a die and hammering out some new gutters for this hj windowless panelvan. Also making a new bottom section for the side panels and in the process of making a die for the edge of the roof. This one will definitely have no rust in the typical panelvan areas. Good job

20.01.2022 We are back in full swing down here at Johnson Car Restorations hope you are all well. We finished this now gorgeous looking hk prem in its original colour Inca gold. All metal work, paint work and assembly done here all already to drive home and enjoy.

20.01.2022 Lukes been sorting out the roof for the Xc cobra. The original roof was completely pitted and rusted all the way through all over it was terrible. So we heard of an idea of using a sedan roof so we cut up one of my own parts cars and started playing. The overall roof is longer then a coupe which is perfect as luke cut off the excess and reshaped the back section to be just like a coupe. Using the original as an template and to template off. The front of the roof is completely different so we used that part off the original funny enough it was one of the better sections, and from Jamie at kustom garage he makes the sides to order so with all that sorted we have a roof. The things you do when you can’t buy so you improvise. Looks great. Enjoy.

20.01.2022 Here is a mk2 jag we have done pre/ in between waves of COVID. We done all body repairs primed, painted underneath and full outside. 04.01.2022 We have these Citroen panels in for repairs too. Both Luke and Andrew have been awesome in making all these new sections for these panels. New door skin hand made and all inner lower door sections and majority of the boot. Guards have had a timber frame made ready for the new pieces to be made to and in the correct shape and placement. Well done guys.

04.01.2022 Andrews been working his magic on this Capri. Booked in for an insurance job as unfortunately the bonnet flew up while driving. We started to strip the old girl down to find badly repaired/rusted pillar and a few other things, So we called the customer to see what he wanted to do and yes better fix it, we sourced a pillar that are made in the uk and the rest is history all back to being structurally sound now we can continue with the rest of the job. Second hand bonnet hinges and scuttle all cleaned up to brand new condition Andrew started welding. Car is back together and ready for the paint shop.

02.01.2022 After having its bonnet fly up down the freeway the Capri us all done and fix in between COVID we where able to finish her off looking brand new again. #capri #cobra #ford #allfixed #debeer #nofilterneeded #teamjohnnsoncarrestorations#v8#fibreglassbonnet
