11.01.2022 UPDATED LONGER TERM RAINFALL SIGNALS. After a brief break from the wet weather in the east next week, things will turn wet as we go into November. The tro...pics also said to come alive next month with a stark increase in the number of showers and storms across northern Australia, this will be the catalyst for rain through inland Queensland, something that I’ve been banging on about for months. The procession of troughs will continue for southern Australia. We have seen a very wet October for many parts of southern New South Wales, Victoria and part of South Australia. Flooding has occurred in many parts of southern Australia already. For Western Australia will see thunderstorm activity increases during the next month with the heat trough establishing across western coastal districts. Across the tropical north, the Kimberly will be coming quite active with showers and storms increasing. This will add more moisture into the troughs as we go through the month meaning showers and storms will increase. This is a heads up forecast. It is also not indicative of what one place will receive over the next six weeks, it is a signal as to how much rain for potential there is in the future.
