22.01.2022 Let me show you some of the landscapes that Johnston Bend is proud of. This is your exclusive, no other guests or day users (the owner only). You can fish in the deep river where the platypus & endemic turtles also lives, and I recommend a 500m loop walk around the property while looking for the famous Tree-kangaroo and wild birds. 500m

22.01.2022 Johnstone Bend is a budget granny flat adjoined to main farmhouse. It’s got your own entrance & own toilet/shower, as well as own living area. Unlimited Wifi is included. 3.5km from Malanda, 75 minutes drive from Cairns. Just share the garden of 3.25 acre with Johnston River frontage with the owner. Best suit to people who don’t require any frills, but desire to get plenty wildlife and privacy. You will be the exclusive guest, no other guest, campers and day-visitors. 140003.5kmWIFI

08.01.2022 Johnstone Bend is known for it’s semi-resident Lumholtz Tree-kangaroos (endemic marsupial). I recognize 4 different individuals (see these pictures) so far, but a young female Ana will be most likely seen. Unlike her mother, Ana moves everyday so it’s a kind of game for us to locate her.

07.01.2022 Everyone likes our view

05.01.2022 2 sought after mammal species, Platypus and endemic Tree Kangaroo both can be seen fairy easily at Johnstone Bend all year round.
