24.01.2022 A much deserved makeover for our parents whist away on a holiday. 2 new bathrooms and bedroom. Many hands make light work! However this was a great effort by family. Ft. AB Tiling and wood from Absolute timber solutions. A top effort for 4 weeks.

23.01.2022 Tiny home update.. Unfortynatly we haven't been able to make as much progress as what we would liked since last post due to full time work commitments that required Michael to be away. However some progress has been made which is exciting to share! Since we pushed the walls of the trailer over to bring it back to the main structure in which we wanted to begin building from we were left wirh existing steel needing to be grinded off, the red paint taken off, primer applied. ... In WA you have the ability to go upto 2.5m width on a trailer according to main roads. So with this knowledge and the ability to not have a weight restrictions like other tiny homes we decided to add a piece of 75x75x8 Angeline steel which we sourced from Medalia Steel! This allows us to bolt and weld it to the side of the trailer as pictured and not loose any living space within the trailer due to the walls. This is a time consuming job atm however we have loads of help and are looking forward to putting the floor structure down in the next couple weeks so stay tuned! Michael, Laura and Co.

23.01.2022 Hope the progress of the tiny home is getting people excited to see the end results. The outside is to have architraves and be painted and a custom door hung. This place is feeling awesome. The waterproofing is done in the bathroom/laundry. Loft floor put down, windows in, exposed beams installed, majority of cladding up. The roof and barges will be put up next week and roof fully finished when supplies get delivered!... Plumbing and electrical will be organised soon and then more exciting progress can be made! 20.01.2022 The tiny home is really taking shape now! With the insulation and roof sheets going on and the wrap and bottom tin applied. The tin along the bottom will be painted to match the roof as many of the products we have managed to be gifted! The cladding will also be applied soon! And will be painted slightly lighter than the tin. And will be running vertically. There will be white architraves around the windows! There are more windows needing to be cut out but they will be goin...g in soon! The loft frame is complete! And floor will be applied soon also! This tiny home is bigger than an average one, coming in at 12m long by 2.4 wide! It features a -round window -1200 wide door -dining booth -fullsize kitchen - large bathroom with laundry! -2 bedrooms - seperate living room! 19.01.2022 After many months of silence, Johnston Carpentry has got some exciting news to share!! After much research and hard work Michael and his family have decided to follow the TINY HOME CRAZE! ... And are going to build a custom built 2 bedroom 1 bathroom tiny home! Having searching long and hard and getting various quotes on custom built trailers we settled on a semi trailer 12m X 2.4m we seen advertised and feel this will be a great foundation to start with. So i have attached the beginning of the tiny home and will keep updates coming of the progress, challenges and products in which we have used to do so. We have levelled a flat area off for a pad in which the home will be built upon, and today the demolition began as we have decided to not keep the top half as this is steel, and heavy so we are stripping the trailer down and going to go with a timber frame in which you will see in due time. I will also upload a plan of the tiny home dream, and the rough design and roughly the layout of furniture however it will be different colour scheme and interior design will be classy and shabby chic with natural timbers and a hint of mint! 09.01.2022 The TINY HOME IS ALIVE!! and in full swing now were set in for the next few weeks working consistently on the TH to get it to lockup! Today the walls were finalised, nogs, lintels anda window frames in place, plywood bracing and strapping applied. The roof rafters are prepared and are going up in the next few days so make sure you follow, like and share share share! ... Today was 37 degrees Celsius and stinking hot. So a wonderful job for all those that got involved! We are stoked to start getting the loft floor, roof and cladding up and can't wait to see it all start coming together. This project will be majority completed by April 2018 and be livable! So keep posted!!

08.01.2022 So... today we got out to the block and back to our tiny home! It's been a couple weeks and needless to say it feels good to start building up and not down! Some significant changes here today. We spent the 1st half of the day digging a trench to allow us to have internet connection, but then this happened...... WALLS!! The main structural walls are up! With just the windows, lintels, and the subfloor for the loft to go next! But this was super exciting and we got to reall...y begin too see the structure and size of our home. 08.01.2022 To those following the tiny home! Although you may not see alot happening it's all happening Beneath the surface! Ensure you stay posted as the next few posts will be dramatic. ... Everything is ordered and being delivered to get this beauty to lockup! This means Windows! Roof! Cladding! Door! Loft floor! The paint colours and decisions on interior are being finalised also! This will all be being carried out over the Christmas break when Michael has time off work and we can get stuck into it! So keep your eyes peeled! This is exciting!!

05.01.2022 Tiny Home! The tiny home foundations have finally been finished being primed, welded, bolted and sealed and the floor has been layed!! A long day but with a few hands it was complete and it feels great!! It makes it all the more exciting to begin the next stage: the walls.. We opted to go with air cell insulation beneath the floor and although quite expensive a great alternative to save space and keep the warm and cold air in and out during the seasons.
