23.01.2022 On Wednesday 24th our JTC Deadly Sista Girlz participants competed in a round robin like Basketball Tournament, facing off for a first place trophy against 7 other DSG sites across the metro area. Despite not playing a game of basketball together ever before and although we didn’t bring home the silverware, two of our girls were acknowledged for their outstanding efforts with Chelsea Coles taking out the Baru Award (Spirit and Sportsmanship Award) and Layla Wehi Dhakiyarr Award (Team MVP).



22.01.2022 P&C Meeting Parents are invited to come along to the next meeting, which will be held on Monday 8 March 6:30pm in the staffroom at Tindale Campus. The staffroom is located upstairs in the admin building. Key items on the agenda will be:... Tindale Canteen re-opening Funds held by P&C that need to be allocated - process for how the funds will be prioritised and allocated. The meeting will go for no more than 45 minutes! Membership to the P&C is $1.

19.01.2022 On the 18th November, our two Year 7 Surf Science classes went on a 3 day camp up to Hillarys. The students participated in a range of fun activities and learnt valuable skills such as Camping, Communication and Team Building, Rock Climbing, Kayaking, Surf Rescue, Fishing Sustainability and Marine Biology. The Year 7s received exceptional feedback from the staff at the Department of Primary Industry and Regional Development (a.k.a. Fisheries) as well as Ern Halliday Camp School staff. All staff and students had a great time! Here are a few pictures of our time away!

17.01.2022 Computer Club A computer Club started at Tindale campus in Term 4 on a Tuesday afternoon. A small group of students had fun setting up the new Virtual Reality machine called an Oculus Quest 2. They played games and had fun VR experiences.... They also used the Wacom drawing tablets to create some amazing art work and used Minecraft Education. It will run again next year so look out for the notice in the bulletin. - Ms Saville



14.01.2022 Students enjoyed the Bushrangers camp at Lake Clifton and Dwellingup recently. They attended Trees Adventure near Dwellingup and participated in activities that included Ziplining, fishing, paddleboarding and raft building.

13.01.2022 Perm-A-Pleat will close after Saturday 19th December 2020 and will reopen from Tuesday 12th January 2021. In January we will still be trading Tues, Wed, Fri 9am 5pm, Thurs 10am 6pm and will extend Saturday trade to 9am - 2pm.

08.01.2022 Year 5 and 10 Primary Aspirants Leadership Day. On Tuesday week 7 our Year 10 Surf Science students hosted a group of 12 Year 5 students from Meadow Springs and North Mandurah Primary Schools at our Marine Centre in Dawesville. Our year 10s showed incredible leadership, self-management and interpersonal skills, leading the primary school students through Sailing and Stand Up Paddle Boarding as well as preparing a delicious morning tea of fresh fruit for our guests!... The Year 5 students had an absolute ball! Well done to everyone involved for such a super fun day!

04.01.2022 Surf Science students from 8S were invited to Greenfields Primary School to teach the Year 5s about our Bream Project. The students created interactive activities which included Fishopoly, Matching card games, quizzes, Bream booklets, wordsearches, diagrams and fish origami. The Year 5s rotated through the stations in small groups.

02.01.2022 Students from the Year 8 Surf Science Program and the Year 10 Duke of Edinburgh Award went to Rottnest on the 1st to the 4th of December. They participated in a range of exciting activities including Snorkeling, Cycling, Fishing/Squidding and Stargazing! The students' behaviour on the camp was exemplary and they all had a wonderful time. Many thanks to all that were involved.
