22.01.2022 JOHN WARD PRESTIGE OCTOBER 2020 PROPERTY NEWS The month of October sits in the middle of Spring and the beauty of the month can be seen in the gardens & the parks. The Labour Day holiday is next Monday 5 October, and Halloween is at the end of the month.... In October, thousands of whales will be making their way back down the east coast of Australia towards Antarctica. Spot them from vantage points like Barranjoey Lighthouse, North Head, the Federation Cliff Walk and Cape Solander. You can also hop aboard a whale watching cruise. Visit Wild About Whales for recent sightings. https://www.wildaboutwhales.com.au/ https://www.huntershill.nsw.gov.au//happy-150-to-hunters-/ Locally, Hunters Hill School, one of the oldest in NSW, celebrated its 150th anniversary this week with the Mayor, Ross Williams, presented the schools year 6 leaders with a time capsule which will be sealed until 2070. 22.01.2022 Heartfelt moment of 2021: Every year the boys at Holy Cross have a magnificent ability of making the whole community so proud. Recently our College principal re...ceived this letter and image from a member of the public. On St. Patrick’s day three of our senior students came to the aid of an elderly lady whose electronic mobility scooter had broken down. In what can only be described as exceptional the boys pushed the lady for 2 - 3 kilometres until she got home safely. The good deed would have gone unnoticed if not for the awareness of a passer by who took this image and wrote the attached letter. The College community is immensely proud of our senior students and we would like to publicly acknowledge Lee Chalon, Deakin Antaw and Matthew Lawrence of Year 12 for their care, compassion and efforts for a lonely stranger in need. They not only received principals awards but our admiration and respect. All three boys went above and beyond last week and demonstrated what it truly means to be not just a good Patrician man, but a good human. We are very lucky and blessed to have such great young men as part of our College community. Now thats what it means to be a Holy Cross boy. #lifelearningleadership #care #compassion #bemore #webeforeme #sydneycatholicschools #CSNSW See more

01.01.2022 JOHN WARD PRESTIGE APRIL 2021 PROPERTY NEWS April sees holidays for Easter and Anzac Day this year. Anzac Day is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand that broadly commemorates all Australians and New Zealanders "who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations" and "the contribution and suffering of all those who have served". Anzac Day was originally devised to honour the members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC...) who served in the Gallipoli Campaign, their first engagement in the First World War (19141918). WHATS ON- WHERE BACK -The Royal Easter Show 2021- https://www.eastershow.com.au/ commeces from today Thursday 01st April 2021 and finishes 12th April 2021. As you are aware, 2020 was a year like no other and as we emerge into the future there have been some interesting predictions about trends in 2021. It is suggested that there will continue to be a slow growth of population, a combination of closed borders and a low birth rate. The population will become a little more regional with working from home becoming more common and regional areas offering lifestyle advantages. Shifts in workplace culture and a focus on wellbeing are evident. Consumers have become more cautious with uncertainties resultant from the pandemic. And finally, technology over the next year will develop faster than ever before. The past weekend saw auction clearance rates at a high of 92% and locally, again, the auction clearance was 100%. Interestingly, analysis of housing trends revealed Sydney house prices will average nearly $1.8m by the end of the decade, up from $1.06m currently, if they continue rising at the same pace as the last 30 years. If you are wanting to move in to your dream home, thinking of selling a property or purchasing an investment, please do not hesitate to call me on 0417 657 264 and I’d be delighted to discuss your plans and guide you through the whole real estate process to achieve optimum results.
