17.01.2022 Announcement! Hi Everyone! With much consideration I have decided to close Jo Holden Fine Art and will no longer be taking commissions for portraits. This is for two reasons: firstly, the price I charge for a portrait works out to be less than $10 per hour for my time so unfortunately it's not financially viable. I could charge more, but people aren't really willing to pay more than I charge. Secondly, art has always been my passion, my hobby and my escape, and doing it as a ...'business' has taken some of the joy out of it for me. I'm excited to be moving into a new home in a couple of months, and with that, I will be setting up a new Marketing & Graphic Design business aimed at helping small businesses with their branding and marketing. I will continue to create art but it will remain my hobby, rather than my business. Thank you for all of your support, comments and likes over the years. It really does mean so much for me. 09.01.2022 Hi Everyone! 2012 brings many changes for Jo Holden Fine Art. We're moving interstate (yet again), this time back to sunny Queensland and my studio will be closed indefinitely while we find somewhere to live. So, I'm afraid I won't be accepting any new commission work for the foreseeable future. Thanks for your continued support, Jo :)
