24.01.2022 Ok! So we are doing something a little different this year. I know a heap of you have been wanting to get some photography done and have been waiting for Vic to open back up. To accomodate as many of you as possible we are going to be offering our first ever mini sessions! Christmas minis on the 21st of November and a catch-a-thon on the 8th of November. ... 23.01.2022 The results are in! We spent the weekend at the Melbourne Cat Lovers show, and it was great. We conducted a survey, we wanted to find out what most cats were up to... As suspected most people voted that their cats were secretly plotting to take over the world! Thanks to those who cast their votes and we are excited to announce that ANDREA WEIR is the winner of our GRAND PRIZE, we cant wait to meet Spartacus and Beatrix! 22.01.2022 Last night in Norway. My lil dinner date. An adorable beagle named Pepe just over a year old. Never have I travelled to a city where dogs are so accepted in all establishments. I have had such a wonderful time in this beautiful part of the world. Looking forward to getting home and giving my lil Mia all the cuddles!!!

17.01.2022 2020 has been a bit crazy so far, we hope that everyone out there is staying safe, well and has an abundance of loo paper. For those wondering how JHP is going during this Covid 19 pandemic, we are great! We are staying up to date with information released from reliable sources and keeping an eye on what the Government says too! Your health and the health of our staff is of the utmost importance. We are lucky to work with animals, often outdoors and with only small groups... of people in the studio at any one time. So ensuring our studio space is Covid 19 free is kinda the same as always, we have just introduced a few new policies and expanded on what we normally do to keep everyone happy and healthy We love you all, however moving forward only those to be included in the photography are to be present during photography sessions, and only decision makers to be present during viewing sessions. We already have cleaning protocol in place, not only in between sessions, but also with professional cleaners coming in weekly. We are being extra generous with both hand and surface sanitizer, feel free to BYO, but we will be squirting you with the good stuff on arrival. They say sharing is caring, but if you have an appointment to visit us and you are feeling at all unwell, please give us a call to reschedule. We love mother nature and recycling is the best, but for peace of mind we have introduced the use of single serve bottled water and hot beverage cups. If you would prefer a sparkling clean glass or cup let us know. All visits are by appointment only, this includes artwork collections. Spaced to give us adequate time to make all things squeaky clean between visits Once again, we want everyone to be happy and healthy and of course to continue to be able to provide you with great photography and a fun experience, if you have any questions, queries or concerns please get in touch.

16.01.2022 I am so happy that Melbourne is moving out of lockdown. 2020 has been tough for so many people, but one things for sure, our pets have been such a blessing during this time, Mia has been my own fluffy therapy! With some restrictions still in place, we will be opening our studio for photography from Thursday the 5th of November, in the hope that everything is nice and clear and hopefully the 25km restrictions will also have been dropped. Those who have been patiently waiting ...for your re-scheduled sessions we will be calling you all in the next few days to get you all booked in! I am also going to be announcing some specials in the next week, so stay tuned, stay safe and see you soon!

12.01.2022 If you, like me, have been shocked by the extent and ongoing damage caused by the fires and are feeling a bit lost on how to help, heres a great place to start. Zoos Victoria are a not-for-profit and this fund has been set up to purely be used for the wildlife bushfire relief effort. 100% of the funds will go to assisting the wildlife now and in the future. ... I have seen first hand the care, knowledge and passion for wildlife and wild places that Zoos Victoria has and am trusting them with my donation. Take care and lets all hope that the fires end soon.

09.01.2022 Meet Saint! Saint had a pretty rough start, he was born with cleft palate and lip and subsequently his breeder was looking to have him euthanized. Cleft palate happens if the tissue that makes up the roof of the mouth does not join together completely during pregnancy and occurs more commonly in purebred dogs and brachycephalic breeds. Lucky for Saint, he met a wonderful vet nurse named Ashlee, who took him in and provided him with all the care, time and love he nee...ded to not only overcome his health issues, but to grow into the confident playful pup he is today! A big shout out to Ashlee and all those who give unique, unwanted and troubled animals a chance, we salute you!

04.01.2022 Update With the way this pandemic is escalating, we have decided that, although we have not been ordered to close, it is the socially responsible thing to do. So JHP will be closing for client visits. ... We wish for all of our wonderful clients to stay safe and to enjoy the wonderful friendship, company and positive mental health and love that our four legged friends bring. Our pets are all therapy animals. Working with you all has taught us how wonderful and uplifting the company of animals can be. 02.01.2022 A year ago I was lucky enough to travel to Norway and Svalbard. It was amazing and as travel bans continue I feel even more lucky to have had this opportunity. I know I am in in the right line of work, as I kept stopping to photograph beautiful canines at every chance. I even found an Australian Cavoodle!

02.01.2022 We were asked a lot over the weekend, how we get multiple animals to all look at the camera at the came time, answer is... Sometimes we dont! But this is the beauty of living in the digital age, we can merge multiple images and if you werent there, you could never tell! There are many reasons to do this, safety and comfort of our subjects are the main ones.... Although, we have had 9 dogs pose perfectly and look at the camera at the same time, so it can happen!
