24.01.2022 A new fern pool trying to capture a hazy morning warming up on the bank after swimming under the waterfalls The water cascading down is warm from the rocks whilst the pool itself is freezing I’ve painted a dark ground to start from (instead of working straight on top of white) and have been enjoying the way you can pic up texture from the ground’s brush strokes to enhance the haziness x

12.01.2022 A late response to my beautiful @ellecampbellart’s nomination #womensupportingwomen sadly the reason for posting black + white selfies is to emulate the images of Turkish + Iranian women published across news outlets + social media daily because they’ve been murdered to ‘preserve family honour’ femicide is horrific, to find out more look up @stopfemicides. Thanks @lailakirkpatrick for your post, information is power I wasn’t aware of the prevalence of femicide before this movement, I’m overwhelmed by how big the problem is - it’s just so SAD, and I’m grateful for all the wonderful women in my life, may those who have been murdered rest in power x

10.01.2022 Finally finished Oakley Dam Renewal 75cm x 100cm. This canvas was once a sunset that I managed to spill turps all over the day before my first solo... floods of tears (anxious build up over the show) and the canvas leaning against a wall in my studio half finished for 3 years. So nice to give it a fresh life and reflect on how much calmer my creative process is becoming over time x
