Eligible businesses can apply for a grant of up to $10,000 to help with the following: Financial, legal, or other professional advice to support business sustainability and diversification.... Continuing to meet business operational costs including utilities, council rates, rent, telecommunication charges, insurance fees, licensing, or franchise fees. Strategic planning, financial counseling, or business coaching aligned to business development and diversification. Building the business through marketing and communications activities (e.g. content development web pages, mobile apps, visual and audio media, etc.). Digital/technological strategy development. Digital training or re-training and up-skilling employees to adapt to new business models. Capital costs associated with meeting COVID-19 safety requirements. Specialised digital equipment or business-specific software to move business operations online (e.g. logistics program for online ordering). 05.01.2022 Worth getting your application ready to submit on 1st July when the $10k grant opens up "The objective of this program is to support small businesses subject to closure or highly impacted by the coronavirus (COVID-19) shutdown restrictions announced by the Queensland Government, to adapt and sustain their operations, and build resilience."

05.01.2022 ! ' , ! My friends will tell you that I'm a very positive, driven and seriously motivated woman with a passion to develop myself and help others do the same. I love working 'outside the comfort zone!' and I am deeply passionate about helping other people. ... The day I left my 'day job', to work full time in my own small business is a day I will never forget! Someone said to me "you're just like (name), he always started businesses and failed'! Shocked to read that? imagine having to hear it! unfortunately, it's a true story! What that really told me was that the person saying it had serious insecurities about themselves and it had nothing to do with who I was or my drive to succeed. I'm not going to lie, it shook me to my knees and my anxiety went into overdrive! I think I ran on adrenaline for the first 3 years of my business! That was in 2010 and I never looked back. I grabbed every painful lesson my small business had to throw at me and decided to learn from each and every situation. It was the one time in my career that I can truly say I developed as an individual and as a business person. There was one thing missing though. I didn't have access to a guiding figure, a mentor, someone I could just call and run an idea past. I so wish I had someone to talk to. Unfortunately, I did find 'people to talk to'. Other business people who told me I could 'trust them', before charging me, what felt like, an arm and a leg for mediocre service or a pitiful product! I affectionately named them 'the sharks'! I quickly honed my skills to detect them when they were circling around me! Since selling my business in 2018, I have been fortunate to work with so many other small business owners, who, like me, just wanted someone to talk to, for advice, to share ideas, or just simply to talk to. But like all things, time moves on and the tides of change are once again upon me. Together with a business partner, Michael Lane, we've established an exciting new business called 'The Purple Bear Group'! 'The Bear' has started working with some exciting businesses in developing their online presence through collaboration and, shamelessly self-promoting! awesome advertising. They can be quite verbal in stating their dissatisfaction and in criticizing others who are not contributing.
