25.01.2022 Yesterday I posted a written piece to LinkedIN and something happened. As an "all in" video guy it is something that I rarely do. I find LI is mostly filled with "information" posts - and naturally most of those are irrelevant to me (as much as I have an open mind to learning new things) So yesterday, rather than providing an update or a status I shared a story. Of course I used my Virable story framework to guide me in the process. I opened a story loop, grabbed attention, m...ade it relevant to the wider audience and ended with a useful lesson. All the things I teach people to do using video. What happened? More than 7000 views in less than 24 hours, audience growth of plus 10% and a wave of private messages. The lesson from yesterdays post is this. When you have information to share take the time to weave it into a story. 01.01.2022 While it seems the world is burning - it isn't. Apologies for being M.I.A the past few weeks. Like many of you I have been on a crazy journey. One with incredible highs (that I can't share just yet) mixed in with really low lows. I don't have any answers to it, I don't know any more than anyone else. It is simply a case of getting through. Getting stuff done. My aim moving forward is to just "make" stuff even when I don't really feel like it or know it could be done better if we weren't in isolation. I miss the City. I'm really tempted to go and capture it at night, empty, to tell it's story during this time but I understand that would be selfish and there are bigger issues at play. For now, I'll sit, I'll wait and soon we will be thru to the other side.
