23.01.2022 Another fully terminated Microtech EFI wiring loom done & ready to ship interstate This one has been made up to suit a 13B Turbo RX4 street car using an LT-10c, 5 Pro Dash & the new Power Hub This should hopefully make things a lot quicker & easier for the customer to get his Rota project up & running

23.01.2022 A few trick bits for an upcoming 13B All Motor street car Ive been working with recently. This engine will be running 6x smaller injectors in the EFI Hardware IDA Throttle body (instead of the usual 4x larger ones) & will be run in 3x stages (primary, secondary & auxiliary) using a new All Motor specific software in the Microtech EFI RACE series ECU. Running the injectors up high in the ram tube should help atomize the fuel better, & will also help cool the intake charge down a little (which will hopefully give us a few extra ponies) Keen to see how this one goes on the dyno #injectingthefastest

23.01.2022 Xtreme Rotaries intake & exhaust port templates are back in stock These are the version 3 design which run a slightly different port timing to the previous templates Xtreme used to make. Weather youre a hillbilly backyard engine builder (such as myself ) whos keen to have a crack at porting your own engine, or an experienced engine builder looking to find a few extra HP, these templates will be the perfect place to start ... The port timing used on these templates is already being used by several big name Aussie engine builders, has been proven to make good power & the R&D is already done Templates are only $85 aus each & come in the following configurations. Turbo extend & Bridgeport (primary & secondary ports on the same template) Small N/A Steet Bridgeport (6mm & 8mm wide bridge on the same template) Large N/A extended Bridgeport & J Port on the same template (J-Port cuts into the water seal but doesnt go beyond the water seal groove as per the rules for some sanctioning bodies) 12A Exhaust Port 13B Exhaust Port The exhaust port templates are about as big as you can go while still retaining the factory exhaust sleeves. 23.01.2022 Barnetts all billet bullet Im spewing the rain came along & f*cked the Sydney Jamboree I just got my hands on the the very first prototype billet dry sump front cover from Xtreme Rotaries the day before the event & was keen put it through its paces. A huge thanks to Rohan Ambrose for putting in all the hours to get this finished for us in time These things are going to be wicked once they become readily available ... 22.01.2022 Tech Tuesday with Blanchy These 2 pictures show a really good example of what happens when an eccentric shaft flexes in a 13B engine If you look closely, you can see witness marks on both the rotor housings & the faces of the rotors (the shiny looking part between the side of the rotor & combustion chamber) where theyve had a little kiss You will also notice that this has only happened in middle of the engine. The reason this happens is because the eccentric ...shaft is supported at each end by the bearings in the stationary gears, but has nothing to support it in the centre. Despite the fact this engine has had a decent amount of material removed from the faces of the rotors (to give them more clearance in this area) & is also using a billet eccentric shaft, which is thicker in the centre, these f*ckers still move around a LOT when they have 60+ pounds of boost shoved up their ass 60 We were lucky enough to get away with it this time without any major damage , but if it flexed just a tiny bit more, what usually happens is when the rotor hits the housing it squashes the side seal down in the groove, the engine doesnt seal, it will do a big backfire back through the intake & the engine will be ready to throw in the trash This is a good indicator that weve reached the limit of the 1 piece crank & its time to upgrade to an Xtreme Rotaries 2 piece centre bearing crank (which just gave me a killer idea for my next tech tip post ) I hope you guys found this informative & can learn something from it #noblanket #nosecrets #nothingtohide #bringingtherotaryworldtogether See more

10.01.2022 Its amazing just how much weight can be saved in a race car when you decide to have bit of a go Both these mid plates were identical to begin with, but somehow the guys at Billet BOSS managed to machine 3.2kg of material out that really doesnt need to be there This should help the Blueprint Racing Mazda 6 get down a little bit closer to minimum weight (we like to respect the class rules & tow the car through the weigh bridge after each pass ) for the upcoming Sydney Jamboree in a few weeks time. #lighterisfaster

08.01.2022 Just finished off another Microtech EFI LT-10c, 5 Pro Dash & sensor street package for a Sydney based customer This particular kit will be getting installed onto a N/A 13B Bridgeport. The wire loom for the LT-10c has been terminated & labeled to make things as easy as possible for the customer to install into the car. Ive also loaded a 13B bridgy base map into the ecu & configured the dash display so it should fire up & run smoothly once everythings connected in the car If youre wanting a similar custom Microtech package for your rotor that comes with good after sales service, support & advice , hit me up & Ill get you sorted

03.01.2022 Finishing up the working week putting together another Microtech EFI 7 Pro Dash stand alone logger kit with a terminated wiring loom This set up is on its way to a Sydney based customer so he can get some new technology into his old school Weber fed RX3 & make the most out of being locked down at home for the next few weeks Ive wired this one up with: Engine RPM... Water temp Air temp Oil temp Oil pressure Fuel pressure Wideband o2 Road speed via GPS Turn signal indicator inputs Lights on input High beam input Fuel level input Driveshaft RPM input Plus a spare sensor input wired up for boost just in case he needs it later on The display screens have been programmed, the logging channels selected, the sensor alarms set then everything has been bench tested to make sure its all working 100% when the customer fires it up #injectingthefastest See more

03.01.2022 The Next Cool Rota Tool Just to take things a little further with the Xtreme Rotaries TDC check tool, we’ve come up with this snazzy degree checking tool that allows you to accurately mark & check various positions on your pulley BEFORE you put it on the engine. Once you have your zero mark after using the TDC tool, simply drop the pulley into the degree tool, line the TDC mark up at 0, then you can mark all the way up to 35deg BTDC in 5 degree increments (handy for ...checking total advance at higher rpm) The tool also is marked for..... TDC rotor 2 on a 13B engine TDC rotor 1,2 & 3 on a 20B 90 deg for TDC on the various 4 rotor engines. The reason behind having all the additional marks is so when you’re setting up the base timing on your engine, you can double check the timing on all rotors (not just the front rotor like most guys will do using the factory Mazda marks) Over the years, I’ve seen it happen on numerous occasions, where coils have been wired up backwards, or plug leads switched around on the rear rotor & it goes un noticed until the engine has already crapped its pants When you have the TDC mark for all of the rotors, you can make sure everything is from the beginning. Like all good tools if it saves your ass just once, it more than pays for itself The plan is to have these tools ready to go within the next 2 weeks Stay tuned for a Tech Tuesday video on these soon
