Jones conservation is proud to be partnered with many wildlife conservation organisations which we are privileged to be able to share our profits with them!

22.01.2022 MYTH BUSTING MONDAY! Koalas are a protected animal Currently koalas are only listed as vulnerable in Qld, NSW and ACT. They are considered common in Victori...a and South Australia despite their dramatic decline in numbers and lack effective protection. Worse yet, the habitat upon which they depend is continuing to cleared at a rapid rate - even after the drastic loss of forests in the recent fire seasons. Interesting fact: Australia has one of the highest rates of mammalian extinction and deforestation amongst developed countries incredible as that may seem. Queensland Koala Crusaders is lobbying to have koalas designated as endangered so that they can be fully and properly protected from the actions that threaten their continued existence.

19.01.2022 Juvenile Brushtail Possum we rescued tonight, he was injured sitting on the side of the road. He is now in the care of Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors Hospital. One of our team members, Taylah named him Rico

We are passionate about koala conservation and Kurt is privileged to be the ambassador of Moreton Bay Koala Rescue and to have Jones Conservation partnered with MBKR to work to save our koalas of the Moreton Bay Region, we are committed to working with all levels of government to ensure programs,land,infrastructure and policy are put in place for the species survival.

18.01.2022 Today we celebrate National Kangaroo Awareness Day! Australia is so lucky to have such amazing wildlife and kangaroos are definitely one of our favourite species! Sadly due to urbanisation and habitat loss kangaroos are becoming more and more uncommon in Southeast Qld ! Sadly people also kill kangaroos for sport and the wildlife meat industry , now more than ever we need to take a stand and fight for our beautiful wildlife!

16.01.2022 This is a Keelback, also known as the freshwater snake! It loves to hang around water and is often found in backyards. The great and important thing about a keelback is they can successfully eat a Canetoad, which only a couple of native animals can do, keelbacks are very important for our environment! #snakes #toads #wildlife #australianwildlife #environment #photography #education #conservation
