22.01.2022 PREMIERSHIP RESULT The Roosters have come out on top at their home ground this afternoon, defeating Joondalup by 2 points. The Giants raced out to an early 12-nil lead before Fremantle clicked into gear, frustdating and putting pressure on the Giants.... It was not the result Joondalup were hoping for, especially after two massive wins earlier in the day. Next week, Admiral hosts both the Friday night Womens double-header as well as the Giants vs Rockingham games on the Saturday. Tomorrow, our Juniors host Mandurah and Willagee at Admiral from 9am.

Former NRL WA 'Man Of Steel' winner Macey Howarth joins John Harbin and Andy Walker on the Seniors coaching panel as an assistant coach. Well respected not only within the Giants but in the League too, Howarth brings a wealth of experience that is sure to add vital ingredients to the Joondalup Giants' Premiership defence... in 2021. Joining Howarth in the coaching appointments is long-time Giant Matt Chaplin as Reserve Grade coach / player, and Life Member / Giants stalwart Brad Costello as Womens Tackle coach. 21.01.2022 WOMENS TACKLE RESULT Its full-time here in Fremantle, and the Joondalup Giants Womens team have defeated the combined Sth.Perth/Kalamunda team 30-4. The first half was a tough affair, with a few late tries to the Giants before half-time making it a 14-nil lead at the break. The half-time chat was positive, and the Giants better fitness was the biggest difference in the 2nd half as the Giants ran out 26 point victors. Next week, the team is back at Fremantle to take on Willag...ee. TOMORROW: Giants take on the Lions in South Perth with first kickoff at 12:50pm. For those attending, were hearing there is a freeway closure southbound between Graham Farmer Freeway and Riverside Drive, so please factor in extra travelling time.

20.01.2022 The Joondalup Giants are saddened to learn of the passing yesterday of Wiremu Kahui, a senior mens player at the Ellenbrook Rabbitohs Rugby League Club. The Giants would like to send our sincere and heart-felt condolences and thoughts to his partner, kids, family, friends, and to the Ellenbrook club. In addition to the money raised for his family at a seniors dinner, the Giants will also have a donation tin at our canteen at this Saturday's Major Semi-Final at Admiral Park, and urge all in the Rugby League community attending this game day to donate, all of which will also be given to his family.

17.01.2022 WOMENS RESULT Joondalup vs Fremantle The Giants will head into next weeks final regular season round with some confidence after tonights game. While the Roosters won 28-8 over the Giants, the game was a lot closer than the scoreline suggests. There are things to be worked on at training, but there are aspects that coach Calen Reedy was pleased with tonight. Next weeks Womens Double-Header will be at Admiral Park, with the Giants taking on Sth.Perth-Kalamunda.... Tomorrow, Joondalups V.Murphy Trophy team (12:30pm vs Kalamunda) and Premiership Grade game (3:30pm vs North Beach) will be at Charles Riley Reserve.

17.01.2022 GIANTS RESULTS - Round 11 Against our newest northern rivals, it was a mixed bag of results for the Giants today. The day started off in great fashion for Joondalup, defeating Alkimos 46-nil in the Womens LeagueTag. In the Val Murphy Trophy, however, it was a much tighter affair, with the Tigers getting home in the last 2mins with a 16-10 win over the Giants.... Tomorrow, our Juniors are away in Kalamunda, Ellenbrook, and South Perth. Next week: Womens Tackle are in Ellenbrook on Friday night, and our Saturday action is at North Beach, with the Premiership Grade match being for the MND Cup, raising awareness for Motor Nuerone Disease.

16.01.2022 GIANTS GET HOME IN A CLOSE ONE The Joondalup Giants withstood North Beach in the final minutes to register a 26-20 victory in the annual Motor Neurone Disease Awareness Trophy match. In gale-force winds, the Giants were down to 11 men midway through the first half with a player sinbinned and another sent off for an alleged punch, yet still went into halftime with a 12-10 lead.... It was the third win for Joondalup over North Beach in 2020, and with the other Premiership result from today, a win next week over Fremantle should get the Giants the Minor Premiership for the first time in 20 years. Earlier today, the Giants Val Murphy Trophy team dominated their opposition and came away with a 48-6 win over the Kalamunda Bulldogs. Next weeks final round of the regular season sees the Womens Tackle Double-Header being played at Admiral Park on Friday night, while on the Saturday the Giants will be away to Fremantle.

Friday night: Our Womens Tackle team are the second game of the double-header in Fremantle, as Joondalup take on Willagee at 7:55pm.... Saturday has Joondalup hosting Alkimos at Admiral in both Womens LeagueTag and V.Murphy Trophy (Premiership Grade have the bye) and is the last regular-season Saturday afternoon at Admiral Park for the year. There is Willagee vs Ellenbrook Womens LeagueTag before Joondalup take on Alkimos at 2:20pm in Womens LeagueTag, and then again at 3:30pm in the Val Murphy Trophy game. Sunday has the last regular-season game for our Juniors, with only the top-2 teams in the competitive ages playing off in the Grand Final the following week. This may be your last chance to watch the Giants juniors in action for 2020, so come on down and get behind our little superstars of the future! It was a close affair all game, but a denied try to the Giants in the dying seconds was all the difference. South Perth proceed to the Grand Final, and Joondalup live to fight another day, playing in next Saturday's Preliminary Final.... Next up: Premiership Grade Major Semi-Final. 08.01.2022 GAME DAY! Today, Admiral Park is host to the 2020 NRL WA Major Semi-Finals. Such a big day, and with the expected large crowd, means that everyone will need to take notice of and follow the rules if everyone is to enjoy the day. Ground Managers and security will be patrolling the ground all day to ensure the rules are being adhered to. * SMOKING: Admiral Park, and all NRL WA venues are smoke-free zones. Should you feel the need to light up, the only acceptable place to do so ...is in the Admiral carpark. * ALCOHOL: Alcohol may only be consumed in the licenced area in front of the bar tent (and for players post-game, in the changerooms). Anyone found to be drinking outside the licenced area will be asked to move there or asked to leave the venue. Absolutely NO BYO is permitted. Please note that in 2020, our bar is a cashless bar. * PARKING: The Admiral carpark is likely to fill up very quickly, so other places to be considered are in the roadside car bays on Admiral Grove and the Heathridge shops carpark up top. Please respect the residents of the area and do not park on the verges of the private properties. The City Rangers will be out and about, and will fine you if you are parked on the footpaths surrounding the venue or on the western hill (behind the deadball line on the school side). Anyone parked there will be asked to move their vehicle. * SPECTATORS: All spectators MUST remain at least 5m away from the field of play. This means behind the ropes and red painted spectator lines. Only players, game officials, and ground staff may enter the field at any stage throughout the day. Only players, trainers, coaching staff, and game officials may be in the bench areas. 07.01.2022 ***UPDATE*** Hello All Due the recent changes of our borders and our State Governments latest COVID Directions, we have been advised, that when using one of our City of Joondalups Community facilities it's a requirement to implement contact tracing. These directions come into effect this Saturday 5th December 2020.... As a club who's members are proactive in ensuring the health and safety of our community and because we have Part 2 of our Annual AGM Meeting this Sunday 6th December 2020, we encourage our members and non-members to download the SafeWA App for contact tracing. We will also have a sign in register for those that are unable to download the app. City of Joondup have advised us that all community facilities will have the new SafeWA posters placed at their entries and throughout the facilities. These posters will include the SafeWA QR code relevant to that facility; The City will collate all contact tracing registers for its community facilities and make these available to Authorised Officers as required under the Directions. Rae is a very special coach as she makes up 1/3 of our female coaches and brings her talent... as a senior tackle player into her coaching role. She has faced a large number of challenges over a short period of time this season, having never coached before and stepping in a few rounds into the season. She has taken every challenge on with her fantastic attitude and built a strong and thriving under 11s team that she should be incredibly proud of! 06.01.2022 GIANTS GRAND FINAL BOUND! The Joondalup Giants Premiership team are into the 2020 Grand Final after defeating South Perth 32-12 this afternoon at Admiral Park. A penalty goal to the Lions before halftime took the score to 12-all at the break, but in the second half, it was all Joondalup. The Giants book their place in the Grand Final for only the 3rd time in our 30 year history, and the first in 19 years, and await the result of next week's game between Rockingham and South P...erth to see who we'll be facing in the decider. Congratulations to coach John Harbin, his coaching staff, and the players on this achievement. The club is very proud of you all.

The Giants have fallen one game short of the Grand Final for the 2nd season in a row, and although disappointment was the overwhelming feeling in the sheds after the game, there was still confidence in the team for 2021. Starting as an U8s junior, Amber has been part of the Giants for 20 years and is a highly regarded member in the Seniors playing group. Club President John Harbin says Amber’s appointment as Junior Welfare Officer is an important step in the Club’s ongoing commitment... to the welfare and health of its junior players. Dan has been with the club since... he himself was a junior and has now played for our seniors for many many years! 03.01.2022 GIANTS V.MURPHY TROPHY TEAM SEASON ENDS The Joondalup Giants V.Murphy Trophy team have made it a trifecta of losses for the Giants in the Preliminary Finals played today. The Giants were right in the game until the final 4 minutes, but the 22-14 scoreline was just too much to overcome in the dying stages. The loss means that the sole Giants team representing on Grand Final Day is our Premiership Grade team, and what a cracker of a game that's set to be!
