25.01.2022 Today is National Agriculture Day, lets celebrate the efforts of our farmers and producers. #AgDayAU

23.01.2022 A gorgeous image of how we do Christmas in the West Tamar! Really special that locals go to the effort to spread Christmas cheer for all of us to enjoy. Thank you!

23.01.2022 I recently met with Tassie Face Mask Project co-founder Bronwin Ballantyne who’s volunteers have made around 15,000 masks to date. 3,000 of which went to Victoria when they needed them most. Now they’re available for you to buy if you purchase one, Tassie Face Mask Project will pay it forward and give a mask to a vulnerable person in the Tasmanian community.... https://tassiefacemasks.com.au/shop/

16.01.2022 If you want to be inspired, check out Camps Tasmania and its extraordinary group of young leaders. These guys run a series of camps throughout the year and I had the privilege of spending an evening at the Summer Camp for 12-16 year olds at Paper Beach. From across the State, these young people come together and experience true acceptance, new adventures and are supported in stepping outside of their comfort zone.... Camp Director Nat, a former Prospect High School, Tasmania student, and her leadership team are truly inspirational. The camps are proudly supported by the Rotary Club of West Tamar. Thank you for what you are doing for Tasmanian teenagers.

14.01.2022 Today, on the lawns of Tasmania’s Parliament, we mark the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, acknowledging 102 years since the end of World War I. A special moment to stand with my colleagues Leonie Hiscutt MLC and Rosemary Armitage MLC, as we remember those who died, those who suffered and those who lost loved ones.

14.01.2022 Great to be able to sit this afternoon and chat at Masonic Care, Tamar Court. This is such a wonderful example, always looking out for each other. Always feels like a home away from home spending time at Exeter when I pop in for a visit.

12.01.2022 The 2020-21 State Budget is set to create jobs, bolster confidence and invest in our community. In addition to this, over $22 million has been committed to further drive job creation for apprentices, trainees and youth employees.

12.01.2022 Even constant rain can’t stop boys from running. Called in for a quick visit to Cabbage Tree Hill Wines. Beautiful little vineyard nestled in the West Tamar. Thanks for having us today.

11.01.2022 As the year draws to a close and Christmas is upon us I wanted to wish everyone a safe and happy Christmas from my office. We will be closed from Christmas Eve and reopen Monday January 11th. I hope you spend this time with loved ones and enjoy some special moments together.

09.01.2022 Today, I delivered a State Budget for our times, focussed on jobs, confidence and our community.

08.01.2022 I love this image of my mum at her nursing graduation almost 60 years ago. How appropriate that The World Health Organisation made 2020 the Year of the Nurse and Midwife. To my mum, my beautiful friends who work in this extraordinary profession and all who have worked under the most exceptional of circumstances this year... thank you

07.01.2022 As Vice Patron of the Port Dalrymple Yacht Club it’s great to be part of a discussion with Bridget Archer MP - Liberal Member for Bass and club members around the slipway environmental upgrade.

05.01.2022 Reading is a joyous experience, whether you're diving headfirst into a new book or rereading an old favourite. Look at the little library Summerhill Community Co-Op now have! Located at Peel St West, Summerhill. Take a book, leave a book! Enjoy!

04.01.2022 If you are looking for a last minute gift for a child, look no further. What an honour to be part of the launch of the delightful children’s book Nowhere Else by Timothy JR Bristow illustrated by Natalie Martin. Congratulations Justzeusbooks So exciting to see a truely Tasmanian adventure come to life.

01.01.2022 The 2020-21 State Budget is set to create jobs, provide confidence and invest in our community to rebuild a stronger Tasmania. We recognise the ongoing impact of public health restrictions on our hospitality sector which is why we will continue to provide support for this important industry, which employs tens of thousands of Tasmanians. We have allocated $10 million in additional funding for hospitality businesses in the Budget by providing a reimbursement amount against their energy bills electricity and gas for the first quarter of this financial year.
