19.01.2022 The ATO is set to undertake its Activity Statement Financial Processing (ASFP) project during its annual closure period between 24 December 2019 and 2 January 2020. In order to give your tax return the best chance of being processed before Christmas we suggest that you aim to have your tax completed and lodged by at least the 10th of December 2020. Any returns lodged after this date run the risk of not being processed until after the 2nd of January 2021.

If your myGov account is linked to our online services, we’ll let you know once your employer has made your income statement ‘tax ready’ - then, it can be used to do your tax return.
