21.01.2022 On Thursday 1st June our salon will celebrate it's 50th Birthday!! The arcade that we are in used to be called Andrejic's Arcade (now called oceana Walk) and we were one of the original tennants, 1967 - that was a good year!! Now we are 50 years old and I have been in this Salon since my apprenticeship 1st June 1967 - seems like yesterday that I started but so much has happened over those years. We are having a party on Thursday so if you would like to pop in and say hello, have a drink and some Birthday cake, Carmen and I would love to see you. What a week this is going to be!! We were originally called Mr Leonard's Golden Scissors, then Golden Scissors and since I have owned the salon Jo's Scissors of Gold. No matter the name the servise is still the same, the best we can offer!!

09.01.2022 On the 1st of June this year, (just last Saturday), our salon celebrated 52 years of business, all that time in Oceana Walk, previously known as Andrejic's Arcade. Where have those years gone!! So many amazing clients who make it a joy to go to work each day, thank you. The Salon was originally called Mr Leonard's Golden Scissors when Leonard Steele owned it, then Lionel and Carol Gadd bought it and the name became Golden Scissors. When I bought it I had to re-name and it is now Jo's Scissors of Gold. And yes, I do use a pair of 'gold' scissors!!
