20.01.2022 Songlines - New Days Dawn - . . From 1986 to 1989, I enjoyed one of the most productive & happiest times of my life, thanks to the birth of my sons Jesse & Luke & some extraordinary first hand Spiritual experiences. During these golden years, I wrote hundreds of songs & poems whilst working as an undercover Psychic & Faith Healer in Sydney. New Days Dawn was one of the first songs I wrote & recorded, after my great awakening. 30 years later, the song has stood the test of... time & remains a favorite amongst close friends. In 2014, I gave the song a makeover, changing its key & creating a bridge with some additional lyrics. I recorded the revised New Days Dawn in Calgary in 2017, but was not totally happy with the end result. Later that year, I took the song to my producer in Connecticut Patrick Keogh & together, we created the anthem I had always envisaged. When I first recorded New Days Dawn in 1986, I had a whole new insight into LOVE. That same inspiration would come again during this recording in 2017. At last, I could now sing about LOVE again and really mean it. 13.01.2022 Song lines Twin Flames - This song is a celebration of my relationship with Ana, and expresses deep gratitude for our blessed union. Our relationship begun in February 2014, however the song’s humble roots lay in the year 1987. Twin Flames was born from the embers of an old song of mine called Special. The first time I had ever come across the term Twin Flames was in 1989, whilst having coffee with a psychic friend. Really? There was something more exclusive in relatio...nships than Soul Mates? My friend proceeded to give me a lesson on the subject: stating that Twin Flames incarnate in the same lifetime to help the planet’s ascension. They walk side by side with other lightworkers (star seeds and angelic beings), helping to raise the planet and humanity’s frequency. My first thought, was WTF? I then sheepishly asked her, where is my Twin Flame? She told me to be patient, saying that when I was ready she would appear... OMG! How I hated these types of New Age ambiguous answers. Will I ever be ready? Nonetheless, I figured that Twin Flames would be a great title for a song. Fast Forward 25 years, it’s now Feb 2014, I am racing to catch an elevator to Body Mind Life Yoga Centre in Sydney. Tonight I will be performing an Aboriginal Welcome Ceremony, with some of the members of my Dance Company Descendance, for a woman called Ana Forrest. We enigmatically catch the same elevator to the 1st floor... exchanging a few humorous jibes. The rest is history During the first year of our courtship, it dawned on me that Ana was indeed my Twin Flame. Now I finally I had good reason to write that song. One night I picked up my guitar and instinctively began strumming the chord sequence to Special, the song I wrote in 1987. I started bellowing the words Twin Flames it was a real Ah Ha moment. After reshaping the song musically & lyrically, Twin Flames was born & recorded in Sydney, with Dale Nougher, Dez Dalton, Alla Tregubenko & Ana Forrest in 2018.
