17.01.2022 Chasing a heavier Back Squat. Below I list the steps we went through for @suelouisepham to surprise herself getting this weight for the first time. 1 Phase the training: starting at 50% of her current 1RM weight we spent time in the end ranges of her movements. Slow eccentrics & pauses were common amongst the first four weeks to gain control in her range and build strength throughout. Other than test day Sue never lifted more than 90% of her predicted 1...RM. . 2 Mix up the exercises: all with the common goal of increasing the Back Squat, Sue did Zercher Squats, Over-Head DB Squats, Deadlifts, Bulgarian Split Squats, + many more. Utilising different exercises in training can be of great use in building movement strength, I’m not saying to mix it up every time but the 3-phase blocks we used for Sue’s development worked a treat. 3 Vary precisely & vary regularly: we all know and love to keep adding weight to the bar and hope we do more next time, yet did you know there are many different progressive variables that can be adjusted to aid continuous results. Such adjustments are: - rest periods - total sets - total repetitions - RPE (Intensity) - tempo - exercise selection & many more, those however were the only variables we used to get Sue to the 100kg Squat. 12.01.2022 Say it with your chest This man has sacrificed a lot and still shown up every week. He came in wanting to support a friend and wanted to lose his fat the fastest way possible. I want to thank him for trusting me when I said no! If we do this we will do this properly and slowly. Our time has come to an end early I am more than confident that he now has the knowledge and determination to keep his journey going. Swipe to see some of the stats we trac...ked. . What these stats won’t show you: 4 months ago he couldn’t even do knee push ups. Today he smashed out 27 on his toes. His squat mechanics has improved dramatically. His posture has improved. He doesn’t get back pain anymore. His wife is liking his new body. He can pass this knowledge on to his children. He has started inspiring friends to get fit and look after their health as well. . . I hope this motivates someone to start or keep at it . See more

02.01.2022 ..Spot the difference.. Although still more to work on this is a great example of how the smallest imbalance can create a huge amount of stress. This client simply moved wrong and has been in a world of pain since. Unable to sleep, headaches, an dull aggravating feeling between the shoulder blades constantly. 02.01.2022 You shouldn’t have body aches! The body’s goal is to efficiently & effectively absorb the forces created from gravity that keep us from floating away. If a joint is not doing it’s job properly, another one has to work harder to effectively absorb all pressure transferring through the body. As gravity holds us to the ground that is where our shock absorption begins therefore if the ankle isn’t doing its job the knee takes on the load. If the knee can’t handle it the hips ar...e forced to take it on, when the body’s central moving structures can’t handle the job then you guessed it, the spine has to adapt. Pay attention to how you sleep, sit, stand, lean, walk, run, jump, etc... Anyone that has made it this far write in the comments where you get most of your pain and I will dm you my top exercises to prevent pain in those areas. See more

02.01.2022 SWIPE TO SEE HOW WEIGHT LOSS GUIDANCE HAS CHANGED THROUGH THE DECADES, & WHAT THE ADVICE IS FOR 2021. . . .... Also take note that these trends took off for weight loss during these years: - Paleo - Fasting - Keto - Atkins - Jenny Craig - Meal replacement shakes . Don’t believe the hype & marketing. Fundamentals don’t change, that is why they are fundamentals. Focus on these three factors for weight loss, and throw every other thought away. #wieghtloss #weightlossjourney #gym #fitness #fit #fitnessjourney #fatloss #training #cardio #gymlife #gymlifestyle See more
