18.01.2022 HALL: Perched on the front row in Lorne this extension to the stunning original period was extremely delicate to ensure it was not discernible. Intricate carpentry on the exposed internal timber beams was needed, whilst large hardwood bi-fold doors and a huge beautiful travertine terrace finished off the project nicely. Carefully built by Howley Construction.... Photography by Trent Perrett Photography #architecture #architect #build #construction #home #design #lorne #greatoceanroad

15.01.2022 SMITHERS: This modest single-story design sits on a large block which could have easily been subdivided, instead the owners chose to preserve the land and enjoy the natural surroundings of the bush, sea and all that Lorne has to offer. This home was built by Howley Construction

14.01.2022 MISSION: A lovely interplay between old and new with this extension. We designed it on a north-facing 45-degree angle which opened up the home to the wonderfully creative and naturally beautiful landscape that was created by John Middleton.

14.01.2022 TRADEWINDS: Nearly ready for handover, some more gorgeous snaps from Great Ocean Road Builders' family home.

11.01.2022 KOONYA: A new concept developing for a bushfire recovery house in Wye River. A typically complex block of land but working with owner Mim has been an absolute delight! 09.01.2022 GREAT OCEAN ROAD: With growing family needs for its new owners, this heritage listed Californian bungalow house required a large extension. We created a new modern form with copper cladding for contrast, but we positioned the addition above and adequately behind the original period home so it remained subservient. This complex build was engineered by Simon Anderson Consultants and well-built by Howley Construction... Images by Trent Perrett Photography

05.01.2022 DUNOON: 2 long forms laid over one another best captured the easterly ocean views and the northern winter sun. Playful elements like the 3m cantilever and rammed earth wall then came naturally, with bushfire resistance thanks to Colorbond cladding. Beautifully built by Great Ocean Road Builders and landscaped by Campbell. #architect #lorne #design #residential #home #commercial #sustainability #sustainabledesign #colorbond #lovelorne
