25.01.2022 Hey guys, some of my work is now available as art prints via Society6! Until the 9th of the November, Society6 are selling my work with FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE (kind of a big deal when you order things like canvas prints to the other side of the world).
24.01.2022 Hey guys, this is a fun project I've just finished up for Disney Australia and New Zealand. To promote Disney's #Tomorrowland, a group of illustrators were teamed up with Australian personalities to create our vision of what Tomorrowland could look like. Our works have then been turned into short 3D experiences. For my part I was teamed up with presenter David Campbell. The work is on display in amazing viewfinders at Southern Cross Station in Melbourne. Check it out!
23.01.2022 This is a fun project I finished last week for the cover of yBitcoin which is being handed out at Money 2020 right now.
21.01.2022 A quick project I finished on the weekend. I've been worried about getting bogged down this year in reaally long projects, so for a while I'm going to be trying shorter one day images. This one is an experiment using photos of tree bark and vines in the Westerpark. Amsterdam has been in full colourful autumn mode for the last few weeks, riding around regularly involves riding through a rain of falling leaves.
21.01.2022 In 8 years of using Photoshop this is the first competitor I've seen that has a hope in hell of becoming a serious competitor. Two reasons: it doesn't have the "under the bonnet" issues that have turned PS into a resource-hungry behemoth and (so far) it seems totally cross-compatible with Photoshop. Grab the beta! :) My hope is a real competitor will compel Adobe to lift their game and bring some real change to PS. It's only a beta atm so it has it's issues but worth checking out. It's also FREEEE at the moment so if you don't have Photoshop and want to get into some image editing it could be fun :)
20.01.2022 Keeping up the series of smaller projects that I can finish in 20 hours instead of 200, this one is made from images I shot while viisiting Rome this year. Getting bogged down in my original (pretty ambitious) idea for Rome is what got me started on this series, I still intend to finish it but it might take a while ;)
18.01.2022 This is a short fun project I completed a while back for Dutch musician Pravini with her upcoming album Unexpected Turn of Events. This was quite a personal piece - the "wings" and "vines" are created from her own jewellery. Photography by Ashvin Ghisyawan TOTAALFOTOGRAFIE, makeup by Arfana Tahir.
16.01.2022 A little work-in-progress preview. I'm working hard to finish what is probably my most detailed and ambitious project to date, based on my favourite city. Watch this space.
16.01.2022 I've just finished what is probably my favourite project in a long time, for my favourite city, Amsterdam. This one is made from images that I've shot in the last couple of years while I've been living here. It's finished just in time for King's Day - a national holiday where Amsterdam turns into a city-wide orange street party.
16.01.2022 It's time to give this page some love again.
13.01.2022 Here's the project I posted yesterday coming together - 25 hours of work crunched into a 60 second time lapse.
12.01.2022 Hey guys, I've been getting a lot of requests for prints of my Amsterdam image. I've posted it in my Society6 store. Enjoy :) http://society6.com/product/the-kings-windjammer_print#1=45
11.01.2022 Making up for some lost time, this is my latest project: "40 Days", using photos of Washington DC.
09.01.2022 A short fun project I wrapped up yesterday :) This is a cover for a magazine that available at SXSW in Austin, Texas, next week. SXSW is a huge music, tech and film festival that takes place every March. Given the brief that I had to showcase the event in a fun way while including plenty of space for text around the centrepiece as well as working sponsor logos into the image itself, this is what I came up with.
06.01.2022 If you're heading to Ireland in the next 3 months, there's a good chance you'll see some of my work :D This is a series of images I created for KPMG Ireland that is on billboards at Dublin Airport and in newspaper print ads. The images are made from shots I took on a quick visit to the country, each one will be up for a month. Agency: Atomic, Dublin.
03.01.2022 A taste of a new series I'm wrapping up ;)
03.01.2022 After getting a bit bogged down in ambitious personal projects that I get bored with halfway through, for the last couple of months I've been working on simpler projects that I can put together in 20 hours instead of 200. This one is made from images I shot during a couple of weeks I spent working in Chicago in 2014. The best time to explore was in the evening after I had finished for the day. The title and lyrics come from the Surfjan Steven's sound about the city which resonated with me and where I was at while visiting the city.
02.01.2022 Here's a project I just finished recently for yBitcoin magazine and Geniuses at Work (GAW), for the magazine's next cover. I had only 2 and a half days to make the image so this one sets a bit of a personal record. The brief was to make something in the overall form of the GAWMiner's logo and decorate it with other key GAW brands. The image features parts from skyscrapers and towers around the world and was a lot of fun to work on.
