12.01.2022 Looking after my own well-being this weekend with some slow paced camping. Nothing like nature, early nights, early mornings, staple technology, space to think and reflect, a lake, family and friends to keep you sane. Mind you the heat and humidity is doing its best to undo the benefits haha.

09.01.2022 We had a great time last week with a cluster of schools in the Moreton Bay Region - working with their Year 6 captains and Senior Leaders! We will be working with this group all year which is very exciting as we go on a journey of discovering what Leadership really is and how we can function as 'positive influencers who have a lasting legacy!'

06.01.2022 Great night speaking with blokes at the F45 Birtinyas Blokes night. We talked about how our narrative of past events often immerses us further into poor mental health and if we can tweak our narrative then we can reach our potential!! As always we used VR to make some good points!! Check this out :) If you want me to come to your workplace, hit me up!!

05.01.2022 Today I acknowledge the traditional owners of the land I live and work on - The Jinibara and Kabi Kabi People. I acknowledge that our First Peoples claim sovereignty on this land and I stand in solidarity with them, on this day of heartache for so many. The day that foreigners, without asking, colonised a land that didn't belong to them, but because of their overpowering might, they were able to claim the land and raise their flag, is a really hard pill to swallow as the day... we should also celebrate being Australian (for so many). Today in my programs I call this kind of behaviour bullying and teach young people how to honour one another. With that in mind, it is a little difficult for me to celebrate being Australian on a day that includes un-Australian values. I would love to celebrate being Australian on a day that has less painful generational ties for the first people of this amazing Country. My emotions are not tied up in the day that we celebrate but I can understand why our indigenous communities have their emotions tied up on this day and I empathise with them. We need more empathy in this world.
