20.01.2022 Hey team, What a crazy time hey! I know that things are super hard right now, not only for all of my awesome couples, but everyone!... It’s unlikely that there’s a person on the plant unaffected by everything that’s happening at the moment. For all of you amazing couples out there, especially those who may be faced with postponing their wedding day, know that I understand how you feel, I too am getting married this year! Let’s all stay positive and remember that at the end of the day, once this all blows over, even if our weddings are postponed, that we’re STILL going to marry the loves of our lives, and that’s AWESOME and totally worth staying positive and excited for!!! 17.01.2022 I don’t typically photograph a lot of engagement sessions, for no other reason than I’ve never gotten around to actively offering them I suppose. . When somebody asks, I say sure! And without fail, we ALWAYS end up having the best time. From my couples perspective, yes it’s a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera, familiar with their wedding photographer and get some really great photos to remember their engagement by!. Though, completely selfishly, there is ...so much freedom to play and create fun or emotive images for people, without the usual time and location constraints of a wedding day. . Here is one of my favourite fun sequences from Sabdy & Joels engagement session last week. I had an absolute blast with these guys and will definitely be doing a lot more. . I love working with all of my couples, right from the get go to help create the perfect timeline for their days, one which ensures that nothing gets missed while, importantly, keeping things as relaxed and as fun as possible!... The atmosphere is always super fun, sometimes a little silly. There's time to get creative, capture all of your amazing detail shots, any candid craziness and beautiful portraits before the formalities start. 05.01.2022 I took this photo on a recent trip to Switzerland to photograph Alysha & Nic’s wedding. . We were in a valley and the sun was just about to set behind the mountains, so we stepped away from the reception and into this field for 10 minutes to make the most of the last light. . Of all of the thousands of photos that I took on that trip, this is my favourite.... . I love that even though the venue is only 50 metres behind me, you’d never know it. How the mountains fade into the background giving only a subtle clue of where we are and they aren’t distracting. I don’t even remember if I asked Alysha & Nic to stand like this, or if it was a happy accident. . It’s quiet, and I think that’s super cool, because that’s something wedding days typically aren’t.
