21.01.2022 Wow! I can’t believe my Reiki Level 1 training was an entire year ago!! An incredible weekend connecting with all the animals.

14.01.2022 People sometimes ask why a dog would need physical therapy but check out this amazing photo with muscles groups drawn on. This is obviously a very fit and muscular dog, however, the same goes for any dog, from greyhounds, to border collies to chihuahuas! When a dog runs, his entire body is sprung like a coil, and there is so much energy placed within those muscles, waiting for the chance to unleash and propel forward at full speed! Then imagine said dog is chasing a ball at ...full speed, and slams the brake on. What is happening to all of those pent up muscles? The energy that is coiled up in those muscles can struggle to find an outlet, as the dog slides along the ground with rigid body and a lot of force behind it. This creates the ideal environment for injury! The same can be said for dogs that launch in the air to catch a ball, jumping in and out of cars or on and off the couch or bed and many other examples. This sets dogs up for injury, particularly after many repetitions over months or years of daily chasing and jumping. Neither of these scenarios are ideal for a dog’s anatomy, but as pet owners, we often exercise our dogs this way because it’s so normal to do so. But if we do this, we really should take the time to care for our best friend’s body. Looking after a dog is much more than just food, water and exercise. Take care of their physical body too, and your best friend will be much healthier and happier for it! Message or call to book a treatment! Photo Credit goes to @Megan Marmon who I unfortunately can’t tag, but I do have permission to share.
