25.01.2022 ‘When Jerusha was a child with cerebral palsy, doctors told her parents she would never walk or talk. But now aged 25, she's hoping to become a doctor herself and help others with disabilities’ The ABC and International Day of People with Disability - Australia have teamed up to increase awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability. Check them out here: https://www.abc.net.au//celebrating-idpwd-across-/12910328... #ipwd2020

10.01.2022 Today is #ipwd2020 and I’ve been reflecting about how lucky I am to have the shadow disability portfolio and to meet so many wonderful people. Here I am with some of the clever (and funny) Oak Enterprises workers - at Oak and then when they came in to visit me in Parliament. International Day of People with Disability - Australia

09.01.2022 Well done Tanzi Lewis, President of the Hobart Dog Walking Association on a wonderful opinion piece on Clarence City Council’s Dog Management Policy Review in t...oday’s Mercury newspaper. Please make sure you have your say by April 12. Meanwhile - here are some lovely doggos on the campaign trail in Bellerive - Bam Bam, Tobes (and the lovely Wendy Rueback, Principal of Eastside Lutheran School) and Maggie (and owner Gail)...and then there was this beautiful Burmese Mountain Dog - I was so taken with him that I have quite forgotten his name, and I couldn’t decide his ‘better side’ so I’ve posted two pictures

07.01.2022 If you only watch one video today make it this one. Dr Bastian Seidel MLC exposes the Liberals health sham.

07.01.2022 Meet Danielle. Mum-of-four Danielle has been effectively homeless for more than three years and has been on the high priority list for social housing for almost... two years. At one point she was camping in a tent on a friend's property. It's only through the generosity of friends and family that she and her children have avoided sleeping on the streets. While the Liberals are telling us the economy is in a good shape, regular Tasmanians like Danielle and others are doing it tough. It's not good enough. That's why an elected Tasmanian Labor Government will build 3,500 new homes, commit $39.6 million to building supported and emergency accommodation and recruit additional case workers to get people into housing faster.

02.01.2022 Tasmania will finally be able to address the health crisis with expert Health Minister, Dr Bastian Seidel MLC who has worked as a doctor his entire career. 1 ...We will end the Ambulance Crisis by employing 144 additional paramedics and upgrading ambulance stations across the state. 2 Labor will clear the surgery waiting list with more doctors and nurses, more appointments and less waiting. 3 We will keep Tasmanians healthy in their local communities by making our regional hospitals and health centres operational 24/7 with local nursing, access to allied health, mental health social workers and patient transport to ease the hospital crisis. 4 We will fund 10 GP Extended Care Centres to open from 8am to 8pm with bulk billing for patients.
