24.01.2022 Hi everyone. Back on deck in my celebrant role mid December. Please feel free to contact me. Kay

24.01.2022 The dawning of a beautiful day at Lake Mac. Such beauty to behold in a period of such turmoil. Hold onto the beauty.

23.01.2022 The end of life-such a sacred time not to be squandered on regrets!

20.01.2022 - Thank you Kerrie & family for your kind words. It was my pleasure to assist: "I just wanted to again thank you for the excellent job that you did at Dads farewell on Tuesday. We have had many phone calls thanking and praising us on the day. I have no doubt that your guidance, confidence and support was integral to that success. I have already thanked Carol at Boots for recommending you and I would have no hesitation in recommending you to other families. Again, many thanks... Kerrie and family 2018" See more

19.01.2022 One of greatest gestures of love to your family is to make an end of life plan......(just in case)!

16.01.2022 Grief is part of life. We all experience it at some time. Embrace the love you shared. Should you wish to record your end of life wishes and need help, please call me.

12.01.2022 There’s something about the spectrum of birth to death that whilst it is tragic that acceptance is not an option, there is comfort in knowing that the cycle of life continues and the journey can bring moments of great joy and the experience of precious relationships.

12.01.2022 Today is International Widow,s Day. A time to connect with those we love who are on that lonely journey.

10.01.2022 I have this day completed an End Of Life (EOL) Doula course. It was led by a wonderful woman, Helen Callanan, founder and educator of Preparing the Way. Not only did I meet some wonderful people of like mind who provided a colourful tapestry of caring and committed souls but I learned so much. Things to have in my tool kit that I will now carry forward as an EOL Doula. Thank you to Helen and all 9 participants of the course.

10.01.2022 It’s World Doula Week. Who’d have thought. Most have heard of birth doulas but few know about End of Life Doulas (EOL). I have now taken on this role of privilege. My life experience will be employed to engage difficult conversations and help to close gaps in care. I walk with those nearing the end of their life. I support the dying person and their family as they journey along the pathway to death. I help create space for the dying person to be heard and help ensure their legal documents are in order. We should all be enabled to see out our days as we, and those we love, would wish. To do this we need to be heard and supported. This is what EOL Doulas do. Please feel free to share this post, to enable this service to become more widely known and used. Kay

09.01.2022 Tranquility and reflection. Teachings from nature.

09.01.2022 From the Lifestyle Medical Centre

08.01.2022 6/4/18 Attended my first OPD session yesterday. This is an annual mandatory training session. It was great to meet other authorised marriage celebrants - many with considerable experience and happy to share. Kay

08.01.2022 An end of life doula. What is that? It’s my passion - an honour to work with people and their families as they draw nearer to the end of their life, providing support and guidance through empowerment.

07.01.2022 Everyday is be kind to yourself day. You will be better able to be kind to others.

07.01.2022 Why your marriage certificate is so important and isn’t it just a piece of paper ? Reposted from The Celebrants Network fb site. https://www.celebrants.org.au//m/663-just-a-piece-of-paper An interesting read. Kay

06.01.2022 Attended compulsory marriage celebrant training today. Met fellow celebrants from whom I always learn. Thank you to all those generous souls.

01.01.2022 It was indeed a privilege to officiate at this beautiful wedding, held in a bushland setting. The weather was kind to us, sparing us from direct sunlight and chilly winds. I am grateful to have been part of this special day and wish Damien and Steph all the best for their future together.
