Once bound the knot was tied hence the term tying the knot. 21.01.2022 Feature Wedding When I first met Lobke and Ivan I was struck by how they were so "together"" in every way. Two lovebirds who were very excited about their wedding day and had decided they wanted it to be simple, no frills, no fuss, laidback and easy. They first thought they would marry on the foreshore of Matilda Bay but then changed to the Sunken Gardens at UWA and I was thrilled. I truly adore this little piece of heaven and always find the venue absolutely breathtaking ...with the natural beauty of mother nature! Lobke was so beautiful on her wedding day. Her dress was simply stunning. Her father walked her down the aisle, and her brother was their "Flowerman" which was great fun! It took 7 years to make their marriage a reality and in all that time they had gotten to know each other, and found out exactly why they couldn't live without each other. They both wrote their own heart felt vows and it was my pleasure to pronounce them husband and wife! We were treated to the wonderful music of Hadyn & Rachel from MalleMo music and the ceremony was designed and set up by Heart Strings Hire and Style. Lobke and Ivan may you always find love in each other.

18.01.2022 When Bjorn and Elisa met they were backpackers and it just seemed that they were meant to be together. The stars aligned, they became a couple, and then welcomed their son, Louie, into the world. On a cruise ship while they were on holiday, Bjorn and Louie proposed to Elisa...and she said Yes! Now they are awaiting the birth of their second child, and it was the perfect moment to say "I do". In an intimate ceremony with their close friends as witnesses, Bjorn and Elisa "t...ied the knot" and Elisa became part of the team "Smit". Their families, who are all overseas, sent recorded personal messages that we listened to and was woven into the ceremony. It was also recorded on video so that they could watch the very special moments like their personal vows, the poem that Elisa wrote for Bjorn and the exchanging of the rings, as well as the Handfasting ritual After they were pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Smit they both did a happy dance, before we popped the cork of a bottle of champagne! The venue was the beautiful Brookleigh Estate which is perfect for any size wedding whether intimate or otherwise. The "Ribbon Ceremony" is a great way of allowing your nearest and dearest give their own personal blessing to the couple by offering a ribbon. Each ribbon is a different colour, and each colour has its own symbolic meaning e.g. Yellow represents joy and happiness, Blue offers peace and harmony, White symbolises new beginnings, Red is love, Green prays for good health. There are 12 different col...ours meaning you can choose up to 12 different people to give their blessing to you. 13.01.2022 Laura and Matt came to me as an excited young couple in early 2018 having just got engaged and were so enthusastic about having their wedding plans turn into reality. I immedately felt a close bond to them, probably because they came from the UK like I do, and they had a fun and bubbly personality. I was delighted when, after our meeting, they chose me to be their Celebrant for their wedding in January of this year.... They picked the lovely Bridgeleigh Reception Centre in Wanneroo as their wedding venue where they could have their ceremony in the gardens and their reception in the function suite. Laura chose "The First Time Ever I saw your Face" to walk down the ailse and it was the perfect choice. She swept down the aisle towards the love of her life in her beautiful wedding gown that skimmed her lovely figure, with both her Step dad and her uncle - both of them being very important people in her life.. The day was perfect! The sun was shining and the wind was no more than a whisper. Family and close friends were witnesses some of whom had made the trip from the UK to support them. Matt was quite nervous, but we put him at his ease with a little bit of added humour. We told a little story about how they started on their journey of love, they exchanged vows and rings, and they included a Ribbon Ceremony which meant that they had some very special people in their lives give them their personal blessing. The Ribbon Ceremony is the perfect way to include up to 12 people in the ceremony and depending on the couple's heritage I often weave the Celtic prayer into the wording as each person comes forward and offers their individual blessing. Laura and Matt signed the register to the sounds of "At Last" and danced back down the aisle as Mr. and Mrs. Emery to Bruno Mars "I think I wanna marry you" It was such a joyful day.....full of love, laughter and happy tears. 07.01.2022 Garth and Samantha have known each other since they were 16 years old when they lived in the same town in England. However, they both went their separate ways until the universe pushed them together again, five years later before they made a trip to Australia. This is where they have chosen to make their home, and where they chose to marry in front of guests from both England and Australia. Samantha's dad walked her down the aisle, they had a couple of friends share readi...ngs and they chose to create personal vows to each other. Their ceremony was sweet and simple, but had all the magic ingredients to make it truly special. Samantha arrived in a vintage car and looked amazing in a very stylish, simple but breathtaking bridal gown.........and Garth scrubbed up really well too! It was truly a pleasure to meet both of them, and to be the one that introduced them for the first time as Mr. and Mrs. The spot they chose to marry was at the Green Place Reserve in Chidley Place, Mosman Park and it was absolutely flawless. The backdrop was the beautiful Swan River that happened to be picture perfect on the day - the sun was shining, the water was still and tranquil - even a few dolphins were splashing around in the distance. 07.01.2022 These two were a joy to work with. Kyle and Lucy, two Scottish lovebirds, filled my heart to overflowing when they chose me as their Celebrant to marry them back in January this year. They also chose the beautiful "Sandalford Winery" for their wedding, and it was just perfect. Guests came from Scotland to make their day amazing. Their ceremony was relaxed, and laid back and they just cruised through the day relishing every minute of it. For a little bit of extra luck Lu...cy wore a "Sixpence on her shoe" which is a Scottish tradition, and both Mum's walked downt he aisle together as part of the bridal party - and gorgeous they were too.
