You too can join this initiative by painting your own stones (use my rhyme or make up your own) and sharing them to members of your family, community, interstate and internationally. 24.01.2022 Bringing you some colourful cheeriness to lift your spirits. The new fb header collage was a journey that unfolded over a week. I started with the blue butterfly. The butterflies were done on cut out squares from plastic milk bottles which gives a soft 3D effect. I used a product called posca pens. OMG posca pens are fabulous to colour with. You can also use sharpies but will probably need to do two coats of colour. Sharpies are less expensive than the posca pens if ...you're on a budget or want to do a project like this with the kidlets. I also used textas, pencils, a scrapbook for the leaves, rainbows and flowers. These were cut out and placed on a page out of a child's sketch book, which gave the collage a firm backing. All in all a delightful process that was calming, fulfilling and....JOYfull :-) Watch out for more butterflies appearing on the page. See more

13.01.2022 Oh my, this doesn't happen everyday folks! This fabulous young man has his own website selling his art. He has a Mum who had a vision for what was possible.....and here it is..... https://lawsonsmith.co/ I had the absolute pleasure of being the facilitator/artist for Lawson's creative journey from late 2018 to the end of 2019. ... A journey that would undoubtedly have continued had I not left Perth on an adventure to sunny Cairns. To watch his creative growth over 14 months was extremely rewarding for me. Being his guiding hand until he was able to use the sea sponges himself, choosing not just one colour at a time to go on the pallet but by the end of 2019, three or four, was a delight to witness. To spend time with him was a joy. We were a great team :) I will cherish the memories. He is a wonderful, cheerful, loving, playful and sometimes mischievous dude. Check out his artistic expression on the website. It's amazing how his love of the ocean and nature shows up on the canvas. I am thrilled for him and for his Mum, Sara Davies..... She is a legend!

09.01.2022 Abstract painting takes you out of your head and into your intuition and your heart. It invokes child like adventure, breaking rules and not giving a damn about your personal expression fitting into a box. Gotta love that!!!
06.01.2022 As you can see by my face I’m thrilled with my new marker pens. They are dual tip and such a pleasure to colour with. I bought them from Officeworks in Perth. They are also available online via eBay and other distributors. My $40 creative investment, for long term satisfaction As you can see on the table I’m working on a project that I will share soon. 05.01.2022 Share a smile with this simple, cute painting project. Supplies: Smooth rocks Paint brush... Painting mat/piece of cardboard Water for cleaning brush Rag Gesso or any acrylic paint undercoat, a white acrylic paint would work too :) Yellow acrylic paint Piece of white paper Black Posca pen fineliner Clear nail varnish or any kind of varnish Method: I painted the top side only. This made the rocks easier to handle and less drying time. 1 base coat in white 2 coats of yellow Practice drawing your faces on a piece of paper Draw your smiles on the rock/s Varnish Easy peasy a child could do them :)
