23.01.2022 Joyful Stretch with the gorgeous Hailey this morning. A fusion of Pilates, Yoga, mobility and relaxation - Joyful Stretch is the most delicious way to feel blissfully stretched, lengthened, relaxed and zen. You can try a Joyful Stretch class Monday 12:30pm, Tuesday 6:30pm or Thursday 9:30am.



23.01.2022 Woohoo! And we are back!!! Joyful Pilates will be open for in studio classes again from 6am tomorrow (Thursday 18th Feb). We will be running a slightly reduced schedule tomorrow with classes back as usual from Friday. If you are already booked into a class tomorrow please double check your session times. All in studio classes are available for bookings now, so jump onto your Joyful Pilates app or Mindbody account and book your bed! We just can't wait to see you in the studio ...again!!! A reminder to please wear your masks to/from in studio classes as per the current Government directives. All of your class packs will be extended for 5 extra days to compensate for the time when we were closed. We are making our way through all clients but please be mindful that this will take us some time as it is a manual process. If you need assistance with your pack please don't hesitate to email us ([email protected]). The biggest thankyou to all of you for your patience and kindness during this time! She loves teaching all types of lunges - both heavy and light - as well an any type of back rowing work. Amelia says she feels her most joyful when she is around other happy joyful people!!... 19.01.2022 Have you met Max yet? One of the owners of Joyful Pilates, Max is a qualified personal trainer, Pilates mat and reformer instructor. Max loves movements that get your heart rate up and those feel good endorphins pumping - such as a squat press or push-up to mountain climber!... Max is a gun tennis player and loves sweating through a good workout, wearing bright colours, spending time with friends, his wife Ally, their furchild Lexicat and enjoying an indulgent glass of wine or a sweet treat! Max says he loves fluorescent colours because they represent his personality - energetic, bright and fun! Secret fact? Max is also a qualified pastry chef! His speciality is delicious chocolate mousse and he runs his own small business called Max’s Mousse! Yum! (@maxsmousse) Want to do a Joyful class with Max? 14.01.2022 Joyful Sweat is a 45minute HIIT workout using the Pilates reformer, jumpboards, a variety of specialised strength equipment and your own bodyweight. These high intensity sessions promise to make your muscles burn, raise your heart rate, make you sweat and get those feel good endorphins firing! A great class for those with exercise experience who are looking to improve cardio fitness, power and strength.

13.01.2022 Say hello to studio owner, Ally! An exercise scientist, Pilates teacher, personal trainer and aerobics instructor - Ally has worked in the industry for over 10 years. Alongside her exercise qualifications Ally also holds a degree in graphic design. She spent her childhood playing with colour, pencils, paints and paper. Ally has dreamed of developing a space inspired by movement and creativity for many years - Joyful Pilates is the perfect combination of both these passions.... She loves helping others to enjoy movement, develop strength, gain confidence and feel empowered in their body. Exercising always makes Ally feel more joyful and she loves sharing that feeling with others! Her favourite sequences to teach are legs in straps and upper back - anything that strengthens the posterior of the body and promotes strong posture! Fun fact - Ally is a bit of a bookworm and was awarded dux of her year in high school! She describes herself as bubbly, determined and passionate. Ally teaches on the schedule most days at Joyful Pilates and would love to meet you in a class soon!

She has keen interests in sports rehab, golfing physiotherapy and running training. ... If you attend Prue’s class expect to do lots of challenging glute and core work! When she’s not working Prue loves the beach, cooking and improving her own fitness. Book into a class with Prue Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Joyful Pilates! 07.01.2022 How many Joyful Pilates classes do you need to do to start noticing results? We understand that every person’s body and goals are different - however as a solid base we recommend starting with 2-3 classes a week to improve muscle tone, fitness and technique. With consistency and commitment you will notice a positive change to your overall wellbeing - including improved strength, posture, flexibility, body confidence and mental health. ... In the short term we make it our goal to ensure you leave Joyful Pilates feeling better and wearing a bigger smile than when you entered!

06.01.2022 Hi beautiful Joyful community and clients, As you have probably heard, Victoria is going back into a stage 4 lockdown from 11:59pm tonight. At this point in time the lockdown is for 5 days until 11:59pm on Wednesday night. What does this mean for Joyful?... Unfortunately we will need to close our doors for face-to-face classes from tomorrow Saturday 13/2 until EOD Wednesday 17/2. If you are booked into a class during this time your credits will be returned back onto your accounts so you can rebook once this lockdown period has finished. What will happen to your Joyful class packs and the Jump for Joy challenge? All class packs and challenges will be extended for the total amount of days that our studio needs to remain closed for. This extension will need to be actioned individually for each client so please be patient with us as we work through everyone's accounts. Still keen to stay active and hang out with us? We will like to invite you to our complimentary live Zoom classes which will be open for all Joyful clients and their loved ones! Our studio will be completely closed tomorrow and Sunday while our team prepares and regroups. From Monday morning we will reopen online to offer complimentary live Zoom classes for all clients and their loved ones until the lockdown has ended and our studio is able to reopen its doors. We invite you to share these online classes with your friends, family and other loved ones during this time. (We all know how very important it is to stay connected with those we love during lockdown periods.) Bookings for these complimentary Zoom classes will be made via Mindbody and the Joyful Pilates app in the exact same way as you currently book into your face-to-face sessions. We will provide more information to you about these classes and the timetable over the next 24 hours so please keep a close eye on our social media and your email inbox for all the details! On behalf of all the team and trainers we want to send every Joyful client our sincere gratitude for your support over the last few months. It has been an absolute dream meeting you all here in classes and being able to share our Joyful studio with you. Let’s cross our fingers and toes that this lockdown is only very brief and we will get to hang out face-to-face in classes again ASAP! 03.01.2022 Meet Syd! Reformer and mat Pilates qualified, Syd says that Pilates has shown her that every body, no matter what shape or size can be strong and deserves to feel good in their skin. She describes herself as open, empathetic and rather clumsy! She got into Pilates after having an ankle reconstruction and was impressed with the impact it had on her recovery. She believed in Pilates so much that she decided to take the plunge and do her teacher training.... Syd loves teaching anything back focused and of course she can’t go past the good old side lying glutes! Fun fact - Syd is also an actor and works in film and television! You can catch her on Stan, Netflix, ABC and Channel Ten! Syd says that once you start doing her classes you’ll begin to notice her face everywhere!! How fun!! Prue has an avid interest in both golf and running and has experience working with athletes in these fields for many years. 01.01.2022 Meet Grace! Bright, upbeat and friendly - Grace is a passionate Pilates instructor and musical theatre guru! Her favourite thing about teaching is being able to help others with their physical and mental wellbeing - as well as the awesome sweaty smiles from clients after a challenging class! Grace’s favourite movement to teach is the reformer burpee () and she loves a good planking series to get the body shaking!... Grace loves the sunshine as it makes her feel joyful! When she’s not teaching she enjoys playing with her puppy, going to the theatre and singing/dancing around the house! She’s a massive ABBA fan and rocks an awesome playlist in her classes!
