21.01.2022 Travel video about destination Kerman in Iran. Kerman is one of many ancient cities in today's Iran and is located on a plateau at the edge of the Lut Desert on... an important caravan route. Ardashir, ruler of the Sassanids, founded the city, and its Friday Mosque was built during Mongolian rule. Following Islamic conquest, the city had many rulers. After Teheran and Yazd, Kerman has the third largest community of followers of the teachings of Zarathustra. The Ganj Ali-Khan Mosque is a small mosque that was named after the Safavid governor who ruled the city in the seventeenth century. The huge Vakil, or Regent Bazaar, has a seven hundred and fifty metre covered main alley that is always full of life. At any time of day almost everything can be purchased here under its brick vaults sheltered from the intense desert heat. In semi-darkness the ceilings of the bazaar streets contain an array of intriguing architectural designs and amazing ornaments. The centre of Kerman exudes its historic past as well as its former prosperity. #MustSeeIran Sourecs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9c1F2tEfKY http://goo.gl/0xmbQk

10.01.2022 A Visual Journey through Iran : Sistan&Baluchistan Swarthy is seemingly, this old and everlasting land; yet how it bristles with spirit. Jaggedly meets your eye...s, yet how harmonious this terrain, torn apart and tolled by sectarian tilt, sustain its people. Having cultivated a thousand year history - that compelled Ferdowsi to borrow its hero for his Shahnameh (The Book of Kings) . What turn has it taken now that it is relegated to the back of beyond? The land where the first rise of the morning sun is promised to its people is at the dusk of this nation. #MustSeeIran Sources: https://vimeo.com/124180448

07.01.2022 Iran flyover. Okay this is not my first time flying over Iran on flights between Europe/USA and the Middle East, but the first time in broad daylight. As I h...ave mentioned before Iran has always been one of those countries I have wanted to visit but not really can due to political issues between the USA and Iran. But I am hopeful.. back in the Cold War era in the 1980s when I was a little boy, our Japan Airlines flight from Japan to UK flew over Russia (only airline allowed to do so that time), and in those days flown over Laos , Vietnam and Cuba , which were also once closed for tourism... remember looking at those 4 countries out of curiosity from the airplane window since they were closed.. now I have been to all those 4 countries. So I am hopeful I get to visit Iran someday. Here are some photos of Iran from the plane... beautiful landscape!!! Sea coast, deserts, pink salt lakes, farmlands, valleys, oil fields, forests, and snow capped mountains See more

05.01.2022 Qavam House Qavam House (also widely called "Narenjestan e Ghavam") is a traditional and historical house in Shiraz, Iran. It is at walking distance from the Kh...an Madrassa. It was built between 1879 and 1886 by Mirza Ibrahim Khan. The Qavam family were merchants originally from Qazvin. But they soon became active in the government during the Zand dynasty, followed by the Qajar, and Pahlavi dynasty as well. The Qavam "Naranjestan" preserves the elegance and refinement enjoyed by the upper-class families during the 19th century. The paintings on the low ceilings of the house are inspired by Victorian era Europe. The mirrored porch was a focal point of the house, overlooking a small garden that was designed with fountains, date palms, and flowering plants. During the second Pahlavi era, the House became the headquarters of Pahlavi University's Asia Institute, directed by Arthur Upham Pope and Richard Nelson Frye. Frye and his family also lived in the house for a while. The house today is a museum and is open to the public. #MustSeeIran Sources: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51_7Z_9fyBs https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qavam_House
04.01.2022 Beautiful Tehran Tehran, the hustling and bustling capital city of Iran is home to some 13 million people and is ranked amongst the biggest metropolises in the ...world. Being the capital of this ancient country for more than 230 years, this beauty galore city has a lot to offer to the discerning eyes. Apart from being the political and economic heart of Iran, Tehran is the driving thrust behind artistic and cultural movements in the country. The four-season city is also home to numerous museums, galleries and well-manicured gardens and parks, not to forget its warm and friendly people. The city is the 32nd capital of Iran and thus may not enjoy the rich ancient history of previous capitals such as Shiraz and Isfahan. Yet, this city has been the scene of many contemporary events of not only the region but at times the world as well. #MustSeeIran Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpT-CPl27eU&t=240s
03.01.2022 'Peoples Of Iran - Bakhtiaris' "The Bakhtiari are a southwestern Iranian tribe, and a subgroup of the Lurs. They speak the Bakhtiari dialect, a southwestern Iran...ian dialect, belonging to the Lurish language. Bakhtiaris primarily inhabit Chahar Mahaal and Bakhtiari and eastern Khuzestan, Lorestan, Bushehr, and Isfahan. In Khuzestan, Bakhtiari tribes are concentrated primarily in the eastern part of the province. A small percentage of Bakhtiari are still nomadic pastoralists, migrating between summer quarters and winter quarters. Numerical estimates of their total population vary widely. The Bakhtiari people are mainly from two tribal divisions, Chahar lang (English: Four Legs) and Haft Lang (English: Seven Legs). Due to the harsh nature of their life style, Bakhtiaris have been able to keep their blood lines intact, largely marrying within their own tribe. The Bakhtiari tribe, based in Chahar Mahaal and Bakhtiari, is well known for their rugs and weavings. They have been weaving rugs exported around the globe since the early 19th century. In Iranian mythology, the Bakhtiaris are considered to be descendants of Fereydun, a legendary hero from the Iranian national epic, Shahnameh. They are also considered to be directly descended from Cyrus the Great." #MustSeeIran #Bakhtiari #Lorestan #Khouzestan #ChaharmahalBakhtiari Sources : https://youtu.be/EK53xv46DU8 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bakhtiari_people
