25.01.2022 House opening of Pradeep Ruwan on the 12th of October 2018. It was a very memorable and emotional day for this family. They thanked our kind donors for their support, and promised to pray for you all.

23.01.2022 Dear Friends. The well was finally completed last Friday the 17th of May. We are very thankful to you the donors and also to those who passed the word around as without you this would not have been possible. The villagers are very thankful for this kind donation and say it will make a huge difference to them. ... THANK YOU ALL.

23.01.2022 We have received an appeal to provide clean water to the Mullaiyadi community in Kilinochchi Sri Lanka. (Kilinochchi is located in the northern province of Sri Lanka,100 km south-east of Jaffna) Currently this village has few water wells which provide water for 232 families and when the drought season is on water becomes very scarce. ... A community well is one way of addressing this issue and also, they have to depend on the council Water Bowsers to get the water they need. We are working with a local charity in Sri Lanka (Foundation of Goodness) who will engage a local contractor and we will be monitoring the construction progress until handover to the community. We have started a fund to collect $A 2,000 (LKR 250,000.00) so that a water well can be constructed for this community. Currently $A 830 have been raised. Please contact us if you need more information or if you wish to make a donation. Regular updates will be provided on the construction activity. Thank you Roger & Rozanne Sydney

19.01.2022 Distribution of more warm clothing to a tea estate in Pupuressa. This distribution took place in January 2018.

19.01.2022 Dear Friends, The dream is coming to a reality now for Pradeep and his family as you can see from the below photo. A total of $5675.00 has now been sent for the completion of this home. The house has been named as Akamuthu Nivesa ( "Akamuthu" means together and "Nivesa" means home) since it reflects our mission as we did this project together from people across Sydney, Melbourne and in Sri Lanka.... The house should be completed by end of September early October, so if anyone is in Sri Lanka around that time please let us know if you would like to take part in the opening. So once again "thank you" and God bless you all. Regards Roger and Rozanne

15.01.2022 Dear Friends, We have found a village in the Mullaitivu District that is in need of a Library for over 120 children. Currently there is no school in this village. The government has provided a building to be used as a library, but there is no furniture, shelves or books.... Having a Library will benefit children and adults to develop their reading skills and knowledge. After the civil war, the government started to resettle the people to their own villages who were displaced to other locations during the war. While the government was carrying out this task, they noticed that many villagers didn't have houses and lands to resettle. The government then decided to make some new villages in the forest lands for those families. The Puthiya Nagar village was also created under this category for resettlement. People were allocated to the Puthiya Nagar village from some villages named Thirumurukandy, Iththavil, Mankulam, Olumadu in 2013. Estimated cost to furnish the room and fill with books will cost LKR 134,000. 00 (approx.. $A1,100) This will include 2 book shelves, 4 plastic tables and 22 plastic chairs with a total of Rs 50,000 to be spent on books We are working with a local charity in Sri Lanka (Foundation of Goodness) who has offered to furnish the library and purchase books. We have started a fund to collect $AUS 1,100 so that a library can be provide for this village Please contact us if you need more information or wish to make a donation towards this worthy cause. Regular updates and photos will be provided. Please pass this to your family and friends who would like to help. If you wish to donate please contact us via email so that we can provide the details and updates. Thank you Roger & Rozanne Perera - Sydney Australia 0413 713911/ 9837 0414 [email protected] [email protected] With your help we have been helping the poor in Sri Lanka in various ways over the past years to have a better life with basic needs that we take for granted.
