25.01.2022 Did you know we do benchtop resurfacing? There's a before and after shot in the images below. A simple resurface makes a world of difference You could find out all about it, and see it first hand on our display kitchen at our open day on May the 5th from 9am to 1pm at 6 Turnbull Street Garbutt.

22.01.2022 The "Cubit" stool/sidetable - $300.00 350mm square. This piece can be made to order in whatever size you want. From a small stool to a whole table or kitchen benchtop. Your imagination is the only deciding factor. The method used with the timber can be transferred to any other piece of custom furniture imaginable.

19.01.2022 On Saturday the 5th May we'll be holding an "open day". The purpose of this open day is to introduce my business into the Townsville community. There will be a sale, with prototype peices and floorstock peices up to 60% off their RRP to make room for new peices. Promotion: I'll be giving away 2 custom peices to whomever can generate the most shares on public media to make other townsville people aware of the event.... How will I know who generated the most shares?: There will be a book to sign on arrival, where you will also pen down the name of the person who made you aware of the event. When tallied up up the end of the morning, the winners will walk away with two beautiful custom peices. See more

18.01.2022 Solid walnut "Tudor" style chair. The high back accentuates the simple centre feature panel and highlights the amazing grain contrast of the walnut. The almost black lines of the grain intertwined through the beautiful creamy tones make this a favourite timber of mine...not suited to every piece, but stunning when used on the right one. Each option for the upholstered seat will be added over the coming days.

17.01.2022 Custom blackbutt barstool - $198.00 (usually $260.00). This piece has a striking knot feature in one of the panels that has been resin filled to bring out it's unique appearance. It really is a one off piece. This particular stool is discounted, but orders of 4 stools of more will remain at the $198.00 price.

17.01.2022 A daybed made for a friend recently. I'd like to refine and add this peice to the growing range. Please comment on colour, shape, finish of the timber - positive and negative comments if you have them. All opinions and perspectives are important to me in growing a product range that people love.

12.01.2022 Solid walnut Georgian table. This piece was hand turned. There are no modern fixings such as screws to aid strength and structural integrity; this is achieved through elegantly seamless classic joinery methods. Large dove-tail joins connect the legs to the main upright, with hinged dowels fixing the canopy to the same upright letting the table top fold upwards. This allows the piece to be moved to a corner of the room when not in use so as to save space, but still keeping the warmth of the grain as a focal point. 900mm high overall with a top diameter also of 900mm to balance the aesthetic architecture of the design.

12.01.2022 A design doesn't have to be complicated to be warm and homely...sometimes it takes something as simple as a couple of striped cushions to set a peice off....thanks @giantsprinter Recycled vj board and hardwood framing brought this little outdoor bench to life...I have a weird soft spot for the pastels that these old vj boards were always painted in...they always make me think of the old lifesaver lollies...strange connection I know, but, there you go... This is a prototype p...eice, so it's heading out the door for a very cool $ 400.00 #townsville #sunshinecoast #lovewhatyoudo #kitchendesign #travellingtradie #timber #reuse #recycle #upcycle #boutique #reclaimedwood #woodworking #custommade #bespoke #customfurniture #design #designer #furnituredesign #industrialdesign #shabbychic

11.01.2022 "Winter's Branch" drawer unit with floating top - $600.00. This is a prototype piece that's been discounted due to a few small flaws in it's cosmetic appearance, but highly functional and unique all the same.

11.01.2022 For anyone visiting this page for the first time, the furniture that you see posted is not the only furniture available or the only style that we do. If you have a peice in mind or if you have an idea floating around in your head of a peice that you would like, we can make that come to fruition. We custom make pretty much anything from a wide range of timber types and other materials. The image above is an example that we also make contemporary peices. I would like to make clear that this image is not my design, and even though it was manufactured by me, I cannot duplicate it exactly, out of competitive integrity.

08.01.2022 Solid New Guinea Rosewood "Elizabethan Study Beaurea". Again, classic joinery methods are used in this piece with no modern fixings. It features a slide out work surface, storage, and a roll top door much the same as a modern appliance unit door operates, but without a spring loaded mechanism to keep the door closed; in this case, the placement of the roller door balances its open and closed positions.

06.01.2022 Custom made "Geo" coffee table - $220.00. 900mm long x 560mm wide x 400mm high. Stunning mango wood top with black gloss geometric design legs.

05.01.2022 Most cabinetmakers in Townsville are booked out until April, but we keep making openings....Call Jason on 0438 789 656 to get your measure and quote. Design appointments will require a booking

03.01.2022 reposting the photo of the "Geo" coffee table...the original dissapeared mysteriously.

03.01.2022 The promotional giveaway to the person who generates the 2nd most amount of shares on Saturday will be this Scandi bedside stool.....start sharing people, and get on down Saturdayy to claim your prize....I'll post what the most shares generate tonight at 8.30pm

02.01.2022 The "Cubit" -$90.00 (190mm square) Your imagination will determine it's use. Stack em, use them as a paperweight, or just a display piece to set off another piece of furniture. The "cubit" comes in a range of sizes priced accordingly, or, custom order a size that you want.

01.01.2022 Beach themed table with drinks bowl - $260.00 Made from reclaimed timber, a recycled circular stainless steel laundry bowl, and with a pumice-stone inlay. Fill the sink with ice and your favourite drinks and sit back and relax.

01.01.2022 I'd like to share the pieces made for the Cafe FortyFive51 fit-out completed yesterday. We had trials with ongoing bad weather hampering construction, and some massive hours in the final days to meet deadline for the unveiling of the cafe's new concept by owner Jimmi Bradbury. The images show the; 12) 800mm x 800mm square cross-centre rustic tables tops 3) 1800mm x 600mm rustic table tops... 3) 1500mm x 600mm rustic table tops 3) 700mm round table tops 1) 2700mm x 300mm drinks top Curved nib wall Country style sallon doors. (I also wanted to include images of the work Jimmi's staff put together - I want to make it clear that this was not my work, but thought it was too amazing to leave out of the following gallery of images) We got there by the skin of our teeth, but the whole experience was a gratifying one. From watching the construction of the peices come together to working alongside Jimmi's amazingly motivated and talented staff in the last fit-out days. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Jimmi for his patience, his trust in my ability to meet deadline, and for the opportunity to fit out the new concept FortyFive51, and also his staff for the laughs and for making Jake and I feel so welcome during the fit-out....and chef, for his awesome pasta at lunchtime. I'm having trouble adding more than 2 images to each post, so please scroll down/up to see the gallery of images in its entirety. To scroll down please click on "11 more comments" the gallery to appear.
