23.01.2022 Yesterday was a busy day. Started with rear brakes on a 2012 dmax where we fitted pedders trac rider ceramic shoes and rda drums. Then like arvo/evening I done a uhf install on my own vehicle. I’m a massive believer in taking your time and making sure the job is done correct and of a high standard especially with wiring. What I found when I pulled the dash off was nothing short of dodgy. Bare wires and just a mess. I re wired it all and mounted the unit under the dash with the wires hidden and mounted the hand piece on the dash. I highly recommend GME XRS range I’ve now got it in my own car and also the fire trucks at the brigade I’m in and they are second to none. If you need an install done contact me!

23.01.2022 Late night job trying to diagnose a issue on this transit unfortunately being outside in residential areas mean you can’t keep working until you sort it but we made progress not in a good way the old girl maybe retired :/

21.01.2022 Today’s job was to wire in some tail lights to a gu patrol. from factory these only come with the bumper mounted indicators and brake/tail lights. I personally think they look heaps better with both! Was happy with the finished product used proper connectors so if they ever need to be removed or changed there is no wire cutting or dodgy work to deal with. Thanks to the customer for choosing us!

20.01.2022 So this weekend was a bit of a maintenance weekend for my Ute and my mates Ute. We done intake cleans and vavle adjustments. The thing we learnt was how much egr deletes improve your engines cleanliness. My Ute has done 201,000 still running standard set up with egr and the carbon and grease build up in my intake was terrible I haven’t owned it for long either. My mates 300,000k he’s owned since new egr delete early on and his intake and throttle body was super clean for its age and took a 1/4 of the time to clean. The photo of the rag was just the crud out of one intake port in my manifold .

17.01.2022 During the week, I had a call to go assist with a fault in a triton turns out we found a nice crack through the exhaust manifold. After the parts were sourced. we fitted the new manifold up and got the Ute back on the road so he could continue to get to work and also get his farm work done with no loss of power to deal with anymore.

14.01.2022 For me I’m big on making sure I keep my knowledge base growing and improving day by day. I’ve had a couple of days at home this week so I knuckled down and got some courses done. High Performance Academy have amazing online training content and this week I’ve completed two of their courses. I really want to do all their courses over time as the knowledge and skills they teach and share will make me so much better. I’ve learnt more in two days then I did covering all electrical in my 4year mechanics apprenticeship.

14.01.2022 A busy day today smashing out a couple of services. I minor, one semi major. Thankfully the weather was nice to me and I didn’t get rained on.

14.01.2022 Well I had a weekend off so I thought I’d finally fix something on my Ute that’s been bugging me since I got it! Dodgy wiring job! The driving light wiring that was installed was terrible done. Spade terminals in areas that get plenty of grime and moisture and it was all floating around the driving lights constantly cut in and out. Done a simple re wire from the relay to the lights fitted some narva weather proof connectors usually I go Deutsche connectors but seeing these lights won’t be on much longer I went the cheaper option. Finally ran the wiring as neat as possible behind the grill and tested the lights a fair bit tonight and no cut outs.

10.01.2022 So I’ve been helping a good mate with a project. He’s been building a fire trailer for their property so I headed down to heathcote over the weekend and got most of it knocked out. We finished up the welding in which I can weld but have never classed myself as a great welder but I sent my weld to a few of my welder mates who passed it with flying colours then I picked up a spray gun for the first time in 12 years and I think the photos show how it went just like riding a bike they say. All that’s left is finish the wiring mount the tank and pump and happy days for him. All in all this is going to be an amazing fire trailer and we are now looking at building one for me!

05.01.2022 Stay tuned for an exciting development for us! It is going to make our lives easier and make it easier to service goornong and surrounds!

04.01.2022 This may sound like one of those sponsored or paid promotions but it’s 100% not. But Pedders Suspension Bendigo providing the goods once again for an upcoming job! I started dealing with Pedders not to long after I moved up to the bendigo region and the guys there have been amazing to deal with. The stuff I don’t know myself grant and the team give me the answers. Through a lot of my time as a mechanic people warned me away from pedders for their various personal reasons but I’d never actually had a dealing with their products. I tried a set of shocks on my old car and it turned out to be the best shocks I’d ever fitted and since then I always recommend pedders first if they have what you are looking for.
