20.01.2022 Through this challenging time over here at JPFT we are focusing on our calorie intakes and what to fuel our bodies with for specific goals. Learning to eat what your body requires is a powerful tool and my aim is that it is a positive focus for all of my clients to be able to progressively learn through this ISO period. Generic, calorie calculated meal plans can be super effective but learning how to be accountable by choosing food choices that YOU like and how to map out your calories for your evolving needs whether it be fat loss, muscle gain or maintaince - that is a weapon

16.01.2022 Hello team, Iv been on the phone to DHHS and confirmed what the restrictions mean for home businesses, unfortunately numbers to the home are limited to 5 per day even in our PT situation. I am therefore just going to be putting on group sessions with 5 participants able to attend each one. And only 1 class per day until Friday week when things hopefully return to normal. Classes are > $15 a class / 3 classes in the week (in this case, in this thread due to losing half a wee...k) >$40 or $100 upfront for a 10 class pass to use. TIMETABLE on the road back to normal classes IS AS FOLLOWS: **strictly 5 participants only. Don’t suffer in silence and put on a brave face, be honest with yourself and those around you there is absolutely no shame in not feeling okay. Sometimes when your down you think it will pass on it’s own, it’s easier to stay quiet, suck it up or wait for it to blow over. I urge you to not keep it to yourself, to confide in someone close to you, to not bottle up your emotions and to not feel any less pride for putting up your hand and saying, you know what - I really need a friend right now. In these current circumstances, I feel there’s even more need to reach out to loved ones for both yours and their mental health support. Bike spins (2km spins, fast pace total 10kms) Box steps & lateral steps. Reps of 20 x 5. Objective: Keep my heart rate up as high as possible. 10.01.2022 I have been quiet on social media (sorry)! At this stage JPFT is back to online training only, online PT sessions are $25 and run for 30mins (subject to availability). I am working hard behind the scenes when I have been limited with the amount of training options on offer. As frustrating as the present times are as both an individual and a business owner I am and always will keep everyone’s health and safety as my top priority whilst abiding by regulations and legislation r...equired. I am currently upskilling my knowledge as a personal trainer, figuring out / applying for the new required permits for outdoor 1:1 to be possible again and planning my home studio relocation to be unveiled in Spring at Neerim South I will then be mobile to Pakenham and surrounding suburbs where my clients reside and am not planning on packing up and leaving everyone behind. I understand that this may not meet everyone’s needs and requirements and business as usual is changing although I cannot stress that these changes have been amplified by the compliance with enforced guidelines and restrictions so much more than I thought my location change alone would have altered my business operations. I am sorry for those who are feeling the impact of restrictions both physically and mentally, I am doing my best to try and ensure we are still able to smash your goals but am personally also missing NORMAL so very much! The day I get to see all my girls and guys out there on the oval, smashing out reps of weights and sprinting from one side to the other is a day I will treasure I thank everyone who has stood by and put trust in me as their PT previously and hopefully into the future. With so many mixed messages out there about carbohydrates it’s important to understand that carbs themselves are not the enemy however your diet should reflect your fitness and health goals! If your focus is building muscle or maintaining w...eight with limited requirement for weight loss your nutrition can fuel you 50/50 protein & carbs (&fats)! If your goals are losing weight whilst building lean muscle, your nutrition intake would reflect this with a balanced protein & fat intake and moderate carb diet - NOT no carbs, but more of your other macros. And if you are wanting to change your body composition (burn muscle or fat) a higher healthy fat & protein diet with limited carbohydrates can be the building blocks to get you there! Keeping in mind that everyone responds differently to nutritional changes but I hope this clarifies for some of how your macronutrients are the drive behind what you want to achieve! We don’t need to be hating on carbs or trying radical Keto or Paleo diets without knowing what our goals are and what fuel sources we should be focusing on! We made a joint decision to focus on this through iso 2.0 as in a world of uncertainty having that positive focus on YOU and a team of uplifting, supporting and empowering individuals is really beneficial to maintaining a positive mindset.
