01.01.2022 There are three types of re-homing programs: 1) those that put too many restrictions on adoption; 2) those that don’t put enough restriction on adoption; and 3) those that put the perfect amount of restrictions on adoptions.... The only thing they all agree on is, the third one doesn’t exist. No re-homing program is perfect. People do the best they can with what they’ve got in the environment they are in. As long as organisations: - continue to learn more to do better; - vaccinate on entry; - train during stay, - educate on adoption, with - sound follow up services, and adhere to the principles of - capacity to care - duty of care; and - quality of life; they have my support. #shelterlife #learnmoretodobetter #bethechange
