25.01.2022 Hellooooo Friday!! Its disappointing to have to start to enforce this but after a number of last minute cancellations (and we understand completely there are circumstances beyond control such as illness and emergencies). ALL CANCELLATIONS MUST BE DONE BY 11AM 24HRS BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT OR A FEE WILL APPLY ... What alot of people don't understand is that this is my income and my way of supporting our household - large gaps in the schedule due to last minute cancellations impact the runnings of the salon and for our family not to mention its frustrating as there are often other customers who would happily take your appointment time with notice. THANK YOU to the majority of clients who message ahead of time. This allows to contact those waiting for an appointment and keeps everyone happy! 24.01.2022 Meet Chief - Chief was an an amazingly beautiful boy today who had a mammoth pamper session. Cheif is a what is called a "bear coated" husky so his coat is longer than that of the average husky - with spring coming he is starting to shed much of his winter coat but without the proper tools and knowledge it can be difficult as it can get super compacted. Some groomers would be tempted to shave it off which can cause much damage to his natural ability to regulate his body temp...erature and keep him protected from the sun. Today whilst deshedding we removed close 1/3rd of his body hair. Nahla is a Leonberger - a large European Breed used as a livestock guardian with a big double coat. 14.01.2022 Thursdays done right This is Gregory - he can be a little drooly as he loves his mumma Gregory has been being groomed by James for nearly 2 years now. Gregory's mumma understands the importance of regular grooming and books him in every 8-10 weeks for his grooms but she also maintains Gregory inbetween with regular brushing. We love our cuddles with Gregory when he comes to visit. ... Now not to Alarm anyone but there is just 99 days until Christmas! 03.01.2022 Hope Everyone has had a fabulous long weekend Alot of people may remember the beautiful Chief who was in a few weeks ago (and is back for a another visit tomorrow ) well after seeing Chiefs transfurmation Nates family took the time to contact us and booked him in for his pamper session. 2.5hrs, 2 blast dryers and alot of hair later - there was another Nate floating around the salon. Nate took it all in stride, lounging about on the table as he was fussed over. Alot of... inexperienced groomers would have been tempted to shave the coat off.. yes it was compacted but was also workable it just required patience and knowledge. 02.01.2022 PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT Hi Everyone just a few house keeping points to make it easier for us and you when trying to book in. WE ARE NOT MOBILE - We are a salon located in Greta... Unfortunately we don't groom cats- for those who have been into the salon its very open planned so many escape routes for a scared feline When booking if you could please provide the following info - dogs name, dogs breed, your best contact number,what you are wanting done and any days that may suit you - this helps us quote you correctly and also eliminates appointments that may not be suitable. It pays to BOOK AHEAD - peak season of grooming is Aug - March due to warmer weather - if you know your dog needs regular grooming don't leave it to the lasrt minute as there will often be a wait. CANCELLATIONS - if You need to change or cancel your appointment for whatever reason please give us atleast 24hrs notice - this allows us to book someone else in who may need the appointment. We do have a cancellation list but in order to be booked for that you MUST have an appointment already booked with us. We do offer both eftpos and cash facilities - for eftpos there is a surcharge or 2.75% per transaction so a $65 groom is $66.80 this is due to the provider we use to keep cost down. Most importantly THANK YOU!!! YOUR SUPPORT means the world. It allows us to have food on the table and for James to be home more with our family It means I don't always need to work extra hours and our furry family and children can enjoy life.
