24.01.2022 Are you keen to get back to face to face professional learning? We're so excited to be bringing you our popular Exceeding the NQS Conference in Sydney next month. We've been working with our venue to bring you a COVID safe experience, and I for one am super excited to connect again in real life! Tickets are limited as numbers have been reduced to accomodate social distancing requirements, so register now to avoid disappointment. https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/exceeding-the-national-qual

23.01.2022 Tomorrow marks the culmination of 20 days spent in the ACT over the last six weeks working with Catholic Education Canberra’s ELC’s. This image represents some deep thinking from the leadership group about what it means to be a reflective practitioner. A great way to reflect on the year that was and the year ahead!

19.01.2022 Our EYLF off the Shelf national tour started off strongly, with Adelaide on the 3rd of March, Sydney on the 6th of March, Melbourne on the 13th of March and Perth on the 17th of March, and then it came to a complete standstill, as we all had to grapple with COVID-19 restrictions. Today we picked up again in Canberra, with a new, socially distanced and different way of working, but one that was met with great enthusiasm and postivity. Our sector is incredibly resilient! Next and last stop is Brisbane on the 11th of August, all going according to plan. In the mean time, we continue with our program of online learning, so stay tuned for what’s coming up next

18.01.2022 We're less than two weeks away from this event, and there are only a handful of tickets still available. We've worked closely with our venue to ensure that COVID19 restrictions are strictly adhered to and are super excited to meet you all in Sydney for this conference, back by popular demand. You'll need to be quick to grab the last of these tickets. Numbers are strictly limited. https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/exceeding-the-national-qual

17.01.2022 We’re working on a tool to support educators to critically reflect on practice, ready to pilot at a Critical Reflection workshop in the ACT on Friday. Bringing social justice and equity issues into focus is one of the key intentions of this scaffolded support. It’s responsive to individual contexts, and provides thinking prompts.

16.01.2022 JR Education is five years old! The last five years have flown past, and we've worked with thousands of early childhood professionals over that time, right around Australia and internationally. We're eternally grateful to, and in awe of, our wonderful colleagues in the sector, and are excited about what the next five years will bring. To celebrate our birthday, we're giving away a complimentary ticket to our upcoming Exceeding the NQS webinar on the 2nd of November, valued at $187. All you have to do is like our page and tag three colleagues, and then we'll put all of your names in a hat, and draw out the winner. There's probably a far more tech savvy way of doing this, but we can't figure out what that is, so we're sticking with old school

15.01.2022 Preparing for a team presentation in Sydney tomorrow morning. This educational team, like many others, comes together on the weekend for professional development, and does so with commitment and enthusiasm. This question is about children’s theory making. Are any two theories the same? I can’t wait to hear what they have to say!

13.01.2022 Preparing for two online PD sessions this week. Zoom is becoming our go to delivery mode. We build customised sessions to suit your professional learning requirements!

12.01.2022 This is the wonderful team from Moore Park & Zetland Children’s ELC’s who I’ve had the privelege of spending three full Saturdays with over the last three months. We’ve reflected on the NQF, children as researchers, and environments, routines and relationships that support children’s learning & development. Yesterday their commitment & enthusiasm didn’t falter, even in extreme Sydney weather! I’m looking forward to Phase 2 with this dedicated team in 2021:)

08.01.2022 Happy Educator’s Day

06.01.2022 The ethical use of power in professional communication. An important consideration for reflection.
