25.01.2022 Stage one of the Herries Street renovation and extension is almost complete!!! Take a look at some of the progress shots. We completely demolished the internal walls and re-framed 4 new bedrooms all with built in wardrobes. The clients have selected a grey on white colour scheme which gives it a timeless look. We just have floor sanding and final fit to do. We are currently working on refurbishing the front deck and fine tuning all the details in the extension. Stay tuned for more photos. 25.01.2022 We’ve been very quiet on Facebook recently as we have been getting stuck in on the Herries Street extension. We are now at lock up and all of the interior sheeting is done. We are now preparing for the finishing trades and can’t wait to hand this one over soon. Keep an eye out for completion photos. 25.01.2022 What a difference a few weeks makes. Last time we checked in we were getting ready for lock up and here we are nearing the completion of the project. As you can see most of the external works are now complete and we are ready to move inside. We can’t wait to hand this one over to another happy client. 24.01.2022 What a difference a couple of days makes!! Take a look at the Alford St deck now that we have laid the spotted gum decking and installed the spotted gum under battening. We are absolutely wrapped with the transformation. We have the stainless steel balustrade left to install and a few finishing touches and we are ready for hand over next week. We are sure the owners will be enjoying a few cold ones on the deck during these warmer months. 22.01.2022 As the weekend draws to a close we are getting ready for a massive week ahead. First on the list is to complete the Alford St deck. We have spotted gum decking to go down and a beautiful 40mm spotted gum feature batten to close off under the deck. Stay tuned as we are heading West to complete the year with a renovation and extension in Condamine, we have sheds to build in Pittsworth and Crows Nest and we are also preparing a full renovation and extension in Crows Nest. We a...lso have a couple other exciting projects in the pipe line so stay tuned for a busy end to 2020 and an even bigger 2021. We are also still on the hunt for a trade qualified carpenter to join our team. If you or you know someone that may be interested we would love to hear from you. 20.01.2022 How time flies!!! The first photo is of the Cabarlah new build 12 months ago and the second photo is today. As we enjoy the rain falling on the roof, we thought what a perfect time to showcase the front facade of the Cabarlah new build we completed last year. We are pretty stoked with the finished result and can’t wait to see the fully finished garden the clients are designing.... 19.01.2022 Project update The Holberton st extension is now drawing to a close and we are getting organised for hand over. Today saw the installation of the kitchen cabinetry and what a difference it has made. We are absolutely wrapped with the end result. A big thank you goes to Chris from Richardson Kitchen & Cabinets for creating and installing this simple but elegant kitchen. ... As most of you are aware the government has rolled out a new $25,000 grant to help boost the construction industry. This grant can not only be used to build a new home but can also be used to renovate or extend your current residence. So if you have been putting off that renovation, extension or new house due to these uncertain times now is in fact the perfect time to get your project underway and take advantage of this great incentive from the government. 18.01.2022 One handover down..two to go!!!!! Check out the bathroom we just handed over. We stripped out the old shower, bath and vanity and replaced it with this! The client selected a decorative floor tile bordered with the plain grey tile to make it the feature of the room backed with gloss white wall tiles laid in a brick bond pattern. We are pretty stoked with the result. As the year draws to a close we will be shut down from Friday 21st December 2018 and re-open on the 7th January 2019. We are looking forward to our upcoming new and exciting projects in 2019.

17.01.2022 Herries Street is coming out of the ground!!!! Today marks the start of the Herries Street extension. We have profiled and set out the site ready for the foundations to be laid We have been flat out finishing the Cabarlah new build and will have photos to come very soon. 16.01.2022 Another bathroom given a new lease on life We apologise for being a bit slack on our social media platforms lately but we’ve been extremely busy giving the Hendy Street bathroom a makeover. We completely demolished all fixtures and fittings in the old bathroom to make way for a new double vanity, walk in shower, shaving cabinet and free standing bath. We absolutely love the new life this old gem now has. ... Stay tuned for some exciting upcoming projects we’ve got in the works. Also stay tuned as the JR constructions team may be expanding. 14.01.2022 Happy Easter!! From the JR Constructions team we wish you all a safe and happy Easter. Here is what we have been up to. Holberton St has a roof and we are getting ready for lock up. We have nearly doubled the existing house to make room for a new kitchen, laundry, living room & deck. We can’t wait to see this one completed.... 11.01.2022 Take a look at how the Cabarlah new build is coming along!! As you can see we are now getting ready for the lock up stage. In just 4 and a half weeks we have managed to do the sub floor, stick frame the walls, stand the trusses, tie it all down, install the roof and install the aluminium windows and doors. We are now preparing to clad the walls with Scyon Linea cladding, the rough-ins for electrical, plumbing and air conditioning are all about to get under way also. A big tha...nk you goes to Greg and the boys from GMC roofing in smashing out the roof in just a week. Their quality and craftsmanship are second to none. We are also about the begin the fences and extension at Herries Street so stay tuned for more progress updates. Herries street has been handed over so we thought we would share the final photos of the transformation. 07.01.2022 It’s all been happening at the Cabarlah new build. We have set out, removed the grass coverage from the house site, dug in the electrical mains and telecommunications line and marked out for the new shed. Stay tuned over the coming weeks as we start to come out of the ground. We can’t wait to see this one finished .

04.01.2022 Take a look at this transformation!!!! A belated Happy New Year to you all. Take a look at this front yard transformation we have just completed at Norwood Street. You might remember we handed over the bathroom and deck renovation to the back of Norwood Street last year (photos to come). The clients were wrapped with what we did out the back they got us to transform their front yard as well. We were just so excited with the outcome we had to share it with you straight away. 03.01.2022 Take a look what we have been up to. The Cabarlah new house has started to come out of the ground. The foundations are down ready for the sub floor, frames and trusses which are being delivered next week. We have also been putting the finishing touches on Herries street renovation and have been busy working on finalising the extension plans. 02.01.2022 ***Here is a snap shot of what we do*** These are the stair stringers for the stairs going on the deck at the Norwood Street job. We set out, cut out and will install these ourselves. It is becoming a lost art the construction of stairs as most builders opt for the easier option of steel stringers which just bolt on. Steel stringers are definitely a time saver and can look effective used properly. However, on these old timber homes you just can’t beat timber stringers and treads.
