16.01.2022 Thanks to Bundaberg Regional Council Economic team for inviting Jesse along to his old stomping grounds at North Bundaberg State High to give a talk to some Grade 12 Students recently about improving their chances of employment through resume building and interview etiquette. Its certainly not easy getting a job after leaving school but hopefully a few of Jesses insider tips will help the students in some way. Jesse is very passionate about the Bundaberg Community and particularly Youth Unemployment! More needs to be done and he will continue to push for improvements where he can!

14.01.2022 HomeBuilder Extension Info As you may be aware from our previous posts, the HomeBuilder Grant has been extended until 31st March 2021. This is great news for both the building industry and yourself. We have had a few common questions over the past couple of days around the grant and have included some information below that may help with any uncertainties you have.... All contracts signed between 1 January 2021 and 31 March 2021 will be eligible (as long as you fit the criteria) for the $15,000 grant. Construction must commence within six months of the contract being signed. The HomeBuilder Grant is available for both first home buyers and existing homeowners. For new builds, the value of the property must not exceed $750,000.

14.01.2022 Is there a safer home in Bundaberg in the event of a fire? As part of the new requirements with the high care disability accommodation we are building we have installed a fire alarm system AND a Fire sprinkler system. Essentially the sprinklers are strategically located in the home and triggered by heat, so they dont all go off when the alarm goes off, this reduces further water damage to the home also. This system costs in the vicinity of 25k, but can we put a price on the most vulnerable people in our community to be safe in their own home? We think not.
